The scheme is run by The Forestry Commission so they should know what they're doing. It's also paid out per annum for 10 yrs and is inspected. Any missing or lost trees have to be replaced. The area must be maintained and any 'competition' for the trees kept away . Trees are grown in spirals, not tubes. These expand as the tree grows and must be removed and disposed of appropriately by year 15.
Trees are planted randomly and not in a line - you can see that in my pictures.

If you don't comply, you don't get paid out, simple. It's not money for nothing, it's run like a business.

I think that is possibly true of many here ......... we all have many years of real world experience .. unlike the donkeys who do end up in these positions, with no concept of how the real world actually works

These government agencies will rarely attract anyone with any actual experience, common sense or wish to make the world better for the average person. And if they do find someone they will soon wear them down to the same level as the rest of them.

The wages are terrible. So most people with any actual gumption are going to join the private sector. And on the offchance someone with a bit about them does join then they are soon warn down to the same way of thinking as everyone else.
This is basically across the board for any government agency, council or public sector work.

If you want me to list more examples of the type of people that end up in these roles then I am more than happy to and I'm sure there are other forum members that will chime in to. But I think if I listed all the incompetence I've come across then this thread will reach several hundred pages.

Basically if they are good enough to work for a private company or run their own business they would be doing so and making big money. Most definitely could not so end up in politics and possibly govt. Those that come out of politics and end up being paid a fortune by companys as advisors or whatever they want to call them are not there for their ability or knowledge but their connections and influence they might have on their old political cronies.

Old stuff doesn't rust, as you well know it just weathers

Tbh got a list of stuff when the lorry lands.... Dumper to collect, wheel digger to take for it to be restored, gravel cart and another dumper to collect..... The list goes on.
