It's arrived here too. And Mrs hiluxman said it'll be me that brings it here...just like everything else is my fault. Lol. Needless to say it's her who's brought it here first. I'll not bore you with details.

Good job I'm self isolating in the 432 and the grab all week.

Vicki and Clara feeling 'under the weather', mid week and tested +ve ... feeling better-ish now, but have kept away since we saw them Monday ... I'm feeling fine, Pam is still not fully recovered from whatever she came back from Plymouth with, end of Jan. (pretty sure she had 'the coof') ... had enough of the symptoms, despite the LFT saying 'no', the barking and loss of taste said otherwise  and still has a chesty bark. :(

Vicki has her father and his 'current' (3rd - think he's addicted to wedding cake) wife staying at hers, who has also now tested +ve ... so won't be seeing any of them for a while.
the 'high risk' joker in the pack's the only one who's fine  .... but as I have said so many times before, I'm confident i had it 2 years ago an' shook it off ... plus I'm a tough ol' sod .... pancreatitis has tried to see me off twice .... and failed :giggle:
Ching Chong coof can do one :)

I sus I've had it yonks ago, not stop me having it again. I've not been jabbed and I don't intend to.

I get the reaction to start with...as we didn't know what we was dealing with, things that followed didn't bother me as I'm anti social so from day dot I don't feel I've missed out on much, yes things haven't happened but I've not missed them if you get me.

If it wasn't for other things...red, oil companies, CAZ ect etc. I'd say future was rosey.

That article is a load of fu&*n crap. (no offense intended)

Warne had covid in August last year that was bad enough to put him on a ventilator

Not only that, but he was double vaccinated BEFORE he was infected.
The story he went to Thailand seven months later to "cleans himself" is laughable.
Seriously - he went to a luxury resort to party, not some ashram or yoga retreat to "cleans himself".

Don’t think he looked out to himself that well burnt the candle both ends partying etc, still young to die though but different things effect different people in so many ways, not 100% sure if I have had it, was rough early 2020 for couple weeks Just thought I had flu/chest infection. Been ok since.

Not so sure (outside china at least).

I was living close to the chinese border at the time, so it was very 'front and center' here as it developed.
Remember, china didn't want news to get out, so when it was first identified, the doctor who identified it was arrested and made to sign confessions saying he lied.

The first carriers arriving in european countries are well documented

January 22nd 2020
  • Public Health England announces it is moving the risk level to the British public from ‘very low’ to ‘low’.
January 29th 2020
  • The UK’s first two patients test positive for Coronavirus after two Chinese nationals from the same family staying at a hotel in York fall ill.

Samples of Covid 19 have been found in sewage samples pre dating Jan 29th 2020. The first patients to “test” positive are no it necessary the first patients to have covid. No one was looking for it prior to then and there was no testing. It was without doubt in the UK in November/December. Again the doctor who found it, only started looking after a major increase in cases of pneumonia that he was seeing in the Town he was in.

Interesting rumors about Shane cause of death. The reality is that people's capacity to overcome illness varies from one to the other. That is why declaring allegiance to one group or another based on other people's notions is not a good idea.
I have two daughters who say to be against the vaccine, and two that are vaccinated. One willingly, the other forcibly to keep her job at the hospital.

My wife and I are both vaccinated x3. Never had any adverse reaction. 3 month after the second jab we both got the Delta variant, wife brought it home from a patient at the surgery. Uneventful, just a couple of days of feeling fluey. Adults make decisions based on their values and experiences, and also based on bias and prejudice. Bias and prejudice has a negative connotation but it is in fact a valuable tool for survival and everyone applies it every day.

My next door neighbour's brother in law, a patient of my wife, refused vaccination for the last 2 years, despite my wife's recommendations. He finally caught on with Omicron last month, appeared to have overcome the illness after 3 weeks, only to die the week after. Healthy 45 yo. Would he have died if vaccinated? Chances are slim, some people die anyway, due to individual complications. Do people survive in a crash without safety belt? yes some do. Do people die with safety belt? sure. Statistics favour the belt, and statistics favour the jab.

My personal belief is that the worst idea ever was to make the vaccine compulsory.
We learned nothing from the US experiment at prohibitionism. All the good it did was to make the kennedy rich. Oh well, the topic is getting tired i suppose.

Strictly it's not compulsory, you are simply restricted if not vaccinated.

You know that row of aircraft seats that gives you a full view of the toilets? I spent ten hours in that row a week ago in a plane load of people who don't wash their hands after using the toilet.
Half the population is below average intelligence and the rest of us have to follow rules written for retards.
