Who do you use now Mike ?
As I say, we just decide what we need and look online at whoever has some in stock. Either autotrader or fleabay or whatever search engine works . We've bought from lookers, peoples ford, hull transit centre, Payne's ford. Just whoever's got what we want at the right price advertised.

I’d happily buy any where in the uk if the price is right and it wouldn’t effect my warranty . Did you go for the twin wheels Graham ?
Yes, I went twin wheels and diff lock. 90% of its mileage will be towing a full trailer so thought it the best way to go.
As Fred says, I went to Pitter and was happy with the deal. They also supplied and fitted aftermarket liner and dead locks for less than I could do it my self.

What engine size do you have ?
2.3 160.

I've had them all from 2.8 gen3 to this gen6 shape. 4 chassis cabs and 2 panel vans.

I've recently just sold my 3.0l so I've just got a new 2.3 and a 2010 2.3.

Bar cam belt changes they are no worse than a 3.0 which is a chain.

The reason I went with 2.3 on the new one is I know how juicy the 3.0 is and the 2.3 is more than upto the job.

Also you don't need the 210bhp as alot of time it'll just spin off the back tyres.

What I did go for was a 4100 wb chassis as I had a custom sized bed and tool box on it and a 3750 would of had too much overhang.

I’d prefer to go used if I could get the van I want and I defo have a manual or an auto if buying a used one but I need an engine with a bit of grunt and probably twin wheel

Did you see the twin rear wheel I posted earlier in the thread or is it being 2.3 a problem ??
There is a 3ltr 2015 5 tonner on ebay aswell that could be downgraded to 3.5t with just paperwork

I'd be guessing that @Vinpetrol is old enough to have a pre '97 license ;)

But possibly not the wish for an o licence and some pre 97 licence holders have a funny train weight don't they although can't remember which side of 8.5t to tow a 3.5t trailer behind a larger van
