I prefer it to the tracked Hinowa we used to hire. Much more nimble, I don't need to skip load, and the best bit is that as it's mine it's there when I need it.

It cost £2k with an extra flatbed body for moving slabs, etc. I bought it two weeks ago, it's gone out three times and earnt £200 already. Plus I've used it round the yard a bit.

The other problem with hiring the Hinowa (apart from the time taken to collect it!) was finding space on the trailer. The MuckTruck only weighs 130kgs, I made a 4-leg chain up and I just crane it into the pickup with the digger

Yeah, I couldn't get one S/H for less than £1500 in decent nick so f**k it. Got a good deal from FreshGroup- £1700 for the truck and £180 for the flatbed.

The Honda engine seems to hunt a bit. I've given it it's maiden oil change and drained the carb/checked the carb bolt torque. That cured the hunting at full pelt. Are they always a little lumpy towards idle?
