You never see anyone running at the opportunity to go on the ped roller 🤣

They are a tarmacas tool really when you want high compaction quickly.
If you have time to spare a plates better.
If you have enough enthusiasm even tarmac is easier with decent plate unless you are putting it in thin

Basically they don't have a seat so nobody wants to use one which is the sad way this country has been going for too long now. I look at the job they can do, my ped roller is the least used of wacker and rollers i have but when it is used the time saving for the finished job is well worth the little bit of extra effort to use it.

Ped roller handler to the ribs is enough to make you never want to bother with one again. Also managed to roll one over while taking it over what was no more than a drop kerb, must of been having a bad day 🤦‍♂️

I'm quite surprised so many saying they're hard work to use. On flat ground they are a piece of piss, on slopes just work with it down hill of you and reverse it back up the slope so you just keep pressure down on the handle let the roller do the hard work. I find it more pleasurable to use than plates tbh.

And just be smooth with controls.

Yeah I get all the obvious stuff like be smooth on the controls and for sure they are not unusable but I was the only one who would use mine, lad who worked for me at the time didn't like it so it would sit waiting for me to get off the digger..... the mrs certainly didn't use it whereas everyone finds the plate easier... thats all I'm saying 🙂

I like that. 120 working width. Crane it in, keep the remote in the cab with you!

There is a couple of videos on tik tok of a scandanavian driver who has a wire loop out the top of the Wacker so can pick it up without a groundsman leaving hooking it on.
So is a one man reinstatement gang

I’ve a wacker dpu100-70 750kg beast, looking for a remote control for it. Compacts better than our tv800 twin drum but is lift on trailer only and Kubota 3 ton won’t lift it. 5 ton does. Next one down is 100kg bomag with water then few smaller ones down to 50kg belle mini but a nice 200kg diesel that you can wheel onto trailer etc would be nice
