Well from what I've worked out since this all started and by what I've read and been told by various different sources (some with an awful lot more medical knowledge than me) is this. There currently is NO VACCINE it doesn't exist as it doesn't stop you getting it and it also loses any benefits it has over time. What you can get is a jab to hopefully lessen the effect of covid if you get it and now a booster to help a bit more. How many more boosters? The way i see it we got the chance of a jab to take pressure off the nhs and they are gonna keep jabbing us in the mean time until they actually make a vaccine. I've had my first 2 ages ago but as far as boosters are concerned I'm not bothered. I'm neither for nor against but i deffo do not agree with it being forced upon anyone.
I'd say that's pretty spot on Gaz. ........ the big Q is ..... are they trying to develop a 'proper' vaccine - one that actually immunises ppl ...... I've certainly heard no mention ... too busy coining it from what they've already produced and looks to be a total cash cow for the foreseeable future on a 6 monthly cycle ........ kerf***ingching :oops::oops::mad:🤬

Well you'd expect govt labs would be trying to make a vaccine, but as to how many there are and what funding they've got who knows? Having said that they've never managed to make a vaccine for the common cold which is a coronavirus 😁

just looked at the figures and out of a population of 9,055,000 in Austria only 5,786,300 have taken up 'the jab' (63.9%) ... so circa 3,270,000 are unvaccinated ... through their choice / whatever ...
HTF do they think they're going to imprison over 36.1% of the population :unsure::censored:o_Oo_Oo_O

We've had it easy for too long and now the average person can't comprehend or has forgotten entirely the terrible atrocities government's throughout history have committed. It's not all that long ago that in Europe millions of people were being exterminated in concentration camps and gulags, or being intentionally starved to death en masse. It's naive to think it couldn't happen again, the same goes for conflicts like the first and second world wars. Most worryingly, it seems we've also collectively forgotten the importance of civil liberties and how instrumental they have been in limiting the power of governments, the power that allows them commit such atrocities. On the contrary there are now people crying out to have our civil liberties taken away in exchange for the promise of 'safety'. Sadly i can imagine certain 'factions' in the upper echelons of society committing genocide, for our own safety of course, and all for a good cause. I can also clealy see how genocide could happen in the not too distant future as we become trapped in a high tech prison, where even a whiff of dissent is immediately crushed. I don't know what's in these jabs, but there's no chance whatsoever I'm taking one. I have zero trust in the powers that be, frankly I'm amazed anyone does!

I understand what you mean, but you are taking a very narrow view of the definition of 'Vaccine'.

I'm booked in next week to receive two "vaccines".
First is japanese encephalitis. Second is typhoid.
I had both of these six years ago, but it is considered their effect will have faded to the point that they no longer provide adequate protection.
Similarly, I've had the course of rabies vaccinations. The rabies shots do not give you a license to pat every flea bitten mutt across the 3rd world, what it buys you is time.
Untreated, the mortality of rabies is 100%.
Having the vaccine gives you 7-days to find a hospital to get treatment (or you will die).

Flu vaccines don't guarantee you won't catch the flu, but reduce the severity if you do.
Many people chose to get the flu vaccine every year without considering what is in it. Typically the flu vaccine contains the component to treat the dominant strain from the previous year(s) plus a component to treat what is guessed to be the next evolved strain. This is always guessed ahead of time to allow for manufacturing delays. Usually it is beneficial, but not always.

medical definition of a ......

" vaccine
[ˈvaksiːn, ˈvaksɪn]

NOUN

  1. a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease. "

the rabies shots as you say aren't a vaccine ... they're a serum to 'dull down' the effects until you can obtain treatment

medical definition of a ......
yes, but ...

Immunity
medical: the power to keep yourself from being affected by a disease

Affected is not synonymous with infected.
eg. you can be infected, but not affected.

without inducing the disease.
I don't think there are any credable claims anyone has caught the virus from any of the vaccines (sure, it's possible it's been transmitted in a vaccination clinic, but not from any of the vaccines themselves).
the rabies shots as you say aren't a vaccine ...
The Australian Immunization Handbook refer to two alternative Rabies prophylaxis:

....
Merieux Inactivated Rabies Vaccine
and
Rabipur Inactivated Rabies virus Vaccine

Rightly or wrongly, these two treatments are referred to as vaccines by the medical profession generally, the WHO (specifically) and the manufacturers.

One of the advantages of English (language) compared with other is the variety of similar, but different words that allow you to more precisely convey a meaning, so it is a pity when words are misused and their meanings fades.

I understand the point you are making, but I think it's a lost cause.

It seems to stem from arrogant experts who think the public are to stupid to understand to understand nuances but is leading to a lack of trust from the section of the public who worry bad things are being hidden from them by weasel words.

To be fair:
  • politicians have always used weasel words to obfuscate either what they are doing or why.
  • experts are often arrogant
  • 'the public' can be amazingly stupid
