Looks like it would be easier to keep red and just charge non farm/ forestry full rate then there would be no need to flush anything and you would just have to prove paper work ties up to receipts for what's bought

you've obviously never dealt with the RDCO Stasi Stu .... 's a bloody nightmare mine field of paperwork and paper trails ... had to deal with it for years ... plus you would not wanna be caught with it in any of your fleet, on or off the blacktop, after the set date.
Best start charging commensurate with double your fuel costs for work - get the punters 'educated'

they have decided not to enforce cleaning out the tanks. But if you have a drop of red left come April 1st 2022 its now illegal to use it. What you meant to do with it ? Fuel theft from sites will sky rocket as the pikeys will now know all the plant is full of white.

And the pikeys ‘made persuasive arguments’ that loosing their entitlement to use red in a travelling funfair ‘could have a material impact on the costs of the entertainment that they provide to families around the country’.

anything that will be direct and immediate pain to the general public they have backed down on, ferries, fairs, farmers etc anything that can just be passed on they dont care about.

so like others on here i work for 5 or 6 farmers on farming projects filling up from their tank,what apalaver bejesus,to flush the tanks of maybe upto 8 different machines for a few days work elsewhere then flush again to go back to farm to finnish ,feck me

I bet an awful lot of firms will find themselves in a similar situation

The current status quo is you only have to substantially drain when changing fuels without the palaver of flushing & filter changing as an end user, so no real change.

What about leaving with a full tank I like to arrive with a full tank and leave with one but doing that I'd have a tank of red on when on a site having come from a farm job

Are you making the assumption here that agricultural means any construction related to farm/small holding etc or it’ll be purely food production definition.
