My wacker dpu 100-70 has stopped going into reverse, worked last time I used it around Xmas guessing it’s electrical

pauses briefly when the handle is pulled back but then carries on.

going to change the switch see if that helps

tried some spray on it

anyone know anything about them, how the forward backwards works etc

Are they not hydraulic for the forward reverse like the little ones?? try linking out the switch if you suspect it or test it with a multimeter

looked in RS for anything similar ...... pretty std sort of limit that

No handle has a cam that acts on that switch, throttle cable and that’s it. No hydraulics

I’ve ordered one so will swap it out for £28 might be an easy fix

On your picture 4/4 with the machine stripped, to the rear of the engine on the right is a block with hoses coming out of it, on the engine side of that are two operating solenoids linked to your switch, swap the caps over, see if it changes direction!

Needed a new valve and solenoid in the end, £240 quid for them and back running fine

could you not just get a coil for it ?

It was the valve sticking not the coil

That the discolouration on it? Has been sat out in the scrap pike for a month after being changed but grabbed a photo when I walked past and saw it

I'd put it aside Giles .... coil might get you out of trouble sometime
