Which 5-6t Class machine ?

Fast, Powerful, less reach than the 57 but I like em more. Your also well underweight for the tilty so I guess you could get a weight slice on the back.....

Mine had Cat 8t buckets on and a 3cx grader before anyone pipes up..... threw them about well but obviously a little tippy for the uninitiated.

The jcb 85z I had was absolutely terrible, needed full revs just to move it so no chance of oil share on that!
The 57c is pretty good, I’m one for making a machine do everything at once and I don’t complain too much about it, yeah I’d want more power/flow but then I should of picked the bigger engine - but I was being tight and didn’t want to burn more diesel for no real benefit. If your ever in central England let me know you can have a good go on it

Ive remember you saying that you liked the u48 .... the plan is to replace the 8t and poss the 3t as well with a 5-6t - I use someone to move the 8t at the moment and thought the way the work is heading I recon I could just about get away with 5-6t machine and swop the current 7.5t hookloader for a 12/14t and move it on that..... but u48 might be a bit too small for what I need it too do.

I really like the look of the newer Wacker Neuson but think I have more chance of bagging fog than finding a used ET58 are there any about ?

ET65 with tilty and buckets is going to be iro of 7.5t
Didnt want to go too big wagon wise - and get into the scenario of having to have a van as well - at the moment use my 7.5t wagon for everything running about wise.

You can push to just over 15t with mercs on the little running gear if you can find one
Failing that I don't know how replating works or is even possible in France but most wagons have a higher design weight so you might be able to squeeze a bit more in.
Also you could push it more further if you where to find a plate rather than a bin.

This 7.5t is what I run at moment ..... just going to go 12/14t same setup - there is diminishing returns as you get up in weight.
12t will carry just short of 6 with tipper body on.
14t around 7t

That 7.5t above has only got 3.8m back on it havent looked carefully at whats needed but will poss need to go 4.2m body to get back doors shut with 5.5t and tilty in

Bucket on wheels has had a fair bit of seat time in a Eurocomach with the VA and really rates them as a machine

or a taki with a VA boom like Gaz's ... but think his is too big ??

Don’t forget you can load slewed with a king-post to shorten the bed.

Yep but even factoring that in im going to need 4.2 ish i think - could do with DaveDCB folding his 57c up and measuring it

They certainly look a decent machine on paper and we have a local dealer (not that you see much outside) but second hand like hens teeth and expensive.

I think they are a fair bit dearer than other equivalent machines even accounting for extras like 2 piece boom (which eurocomach offer across a lot of their range). Tom Lomax did bring one or two into the country but I've never asked him why it didn't go any further.

I think Robustrack in Carnforth are the importers for them now.
