I’m also thinking we’ve a lot of nhl 3.5 line mortar to mix as well to rebuild the barn after concrete. 500 litre tracked pan mixer would be pretty cool 😎

There are more volumetrics round where I am than barrels by a long way
Even big pours have them running so can't be much difference in price
My concrete outfit run 6 Volis and 10 barrels, great when you want a bit of kerb mix then a c40 slab etc. 10m3 on big ones as well. My lads just taken a voli to st kilda for two weeks, long way from Buxton!

Everywhere is different i guess. I think part the problem for them round here was competing with existing setups and the fact that there's too many places they can't get to.
Rd us the voli lads will get where the barrels won’t, often farming lads who know there stuff. Similar terrain to lakes just not as high

The only voli we had here were 8 wheelers so limited where they could go. There's even becoming less 6m3 barrels now, ok while there's lots of easy access big jobs on.

A 1200 on a 3 tonne dumper would be even better
And being higher you could put a swivel chute like concrete lorrys so can run it out the side for foundations or kerbs

If you ever do concrete filled sandbags then pan mixers are so much quicker than a shovel and a road cone to fill them

Wouldn’t be able to mix line mortar in that though and probably too heavy to tow

We have a mixing bucket from robustrack for the front of the loadall it's quite a small one I think it's 250 or 300 litre capacity but we wanted to be able to Tele out quite a bit with it so sized it small for this reason. On their web site they have the same one mounted on the dipper of midi digger.
We used to have a pan mixer but you need a machine to carry and operate it and another machine to load it. With the bucket mixer albeit it's smaller the same machine loads, carries and operates it. Also comes with a flexible chute which is ideal for placing the concrete or fence post holes. 😎

Seen a Mycock barrel loose a decent part of its load going up through Knutsford last week.. 🤦‍♂️ Fair play to the driver he had his brush out trying to clear it up, needed a sweeper - assume one followed up later.

That's rather energetic of him
Every steep hill round here has a line of concrete up the middle from overloaded barrels

I looked at building a mixer bucket for my Baby Bobcat but it’s only able to lift 350kg.

I figured by the time you deducted the weight of the mixer the amount of concrete it would produce each batch was no more than the site mixer so it wasn’t worth the effort to build, particularly as I was doing a one off diy job.

Wheres the nearest concrete plant, couldnt you just collect 1m3 at a time on your trailer then wet it up once on site ?
