On the old 3CX buckets they have a hardened bush. Does anyone know the size of the hole in the bucket lugs that the bush knocks into?
Thanks
Thanks
I think so too.I think it`s 2" around 50/51mm
1-3/4" pins (45's bloody close) and IIRC 52mm for the holes the spring / split bushes knock into .... I've got some new ones here .. 'll have a look tomorrowI thought the 3CX pins were 50 mm/ 2” so that would make the bucket hole size slightly bigger say 55mm!
Yep - 1-3/4" pins definitely. this works out to be 44.5mm, so a 45mm pin may fit in a worn bush (but not a new one)1-3/4" pins (45's bloody close)
My JCB Quickhitch uses the same bushes. The 'tit' (of the bush) that protrudes from the hitch measures 2-1/64"the size of the hole in the bucket lugs that the bush knocks into?

could grind the outer down a bit James .... the outer isn't solid across the full width of the bushes ... 0.6mm off them, all round, wouldn't be too big an askI was basically trying to figure out if the 3CX bucket bush could be inserted into an 50mm quick hitch to get it to fit a 3CX pin setup. Seems it probably won’t be that easy....
You'll find that the pins are a lot further apart on a 3cx setup than on a 50mm bucket i know a 50mm gieth hitch won't slide far enough to pick up 3cx bucketscould grind the outer down a bit James .... the outer isn't solid across the full width of the bushes ... 0.6mm off them, all round, wouldn't be too big an ask
The 50mm Hill I mod.-ed for under the VA-r will pick 330 to 410 ctrs. Thomas ... all my 50mm buckets I had with the hitch off Mick are 400 and it'll pick up the Jake ones too on 45s ... all the same cheek spread at 165-170 mil. You'll find that the pins are a lot further apart on a 3cx setup than on a 50mm bucket i know a 50mm gieth hitch won't slide far enough to pick up 3cx buckets
Geith have a range of hitches in each pin size, you can order about 6 different types with each one having about 150mm travel depending on the machine sizeThe 50mm Hill I mod.-ed for under the VA-r will pick 330 to 410 ctrs. Sounds like you got an answer, god help us if you ask what size hammer you need!
in the freezer overnightI'd squeeze 'em in with a big G clamp ..... or pull 'em in with a stud and a couple of plates

doesn't need it ..... they're split spring steel bushes and'll knock in easy enough .... just go in squarer squeezing 'em inin the freezer overnight
