On the old 3CX buckets they have a hardened bush. Does anyone know the size of the hole in the bucket lugs that the bush knocks into?

Thanks

It’s what I do!
I thought the 3CX pins were 50 mm/ 2” so that would make the bucket hole size slightly bigger say 55mm!

1-3/4" pins (45's bloody close) and IIRC 52mm for the holes the spring / split bushes knock into .... I've got some new ones here .. 'll have a look tomorrow

Yep I’ll go with that a while since I knocked a set of them in, have a set kicking around in the lock up some where.

I used to just buy them from the main dealers, weren’t dear and always fit correct! I remember buying some pins once at 45mm.. and welding them into afew buckets what a nightmare!! We’re fine when the quick hitches had worn out abit as they fit snug then

Yep - 1-3/4" pins definitely. this works out to be 44.5mm, so a 45mm pin may fit in a worn bush (but not a new one)

My JCB Quickhitch uses the same bushes. The 'tit' (of the bush) that protrudes from the hitch measures 2-1/64"

I was basically trying to figure out if the 3CX bucket bush could be inserted into an 50mm quick hitch to get it to fit a 3CX pin setup. Seems it probably won’t be that easy....

I make that 51.2mm then ;)

could grind the outer down a bit James .... the outer isn't solid across the full width of the bushes ... 0.6mm off them, all round, wouldn't be too big an ask

You'll find that the pins are a lot further apart on a 3cx setup than on a 50mm bucket i know a 50mm gieth hitch won't slide far enough to pick up 3cx buckets

The 50mm Hill I mod.-ed for under the VA-r will pick 330 to 410 ctrs. Thomas ... all my 50mm buckets I had with the hitch off Mick are 400 and it'll pick up the Jake ones too on 45s ... all the same cheek spread at 165-170 mil. ;) Geith wanna get their act together :ROFLMAO:

Geith have a range of hitches in each pin size, you can order about 6 different types with each one having about 150mm travel depending on the machine size

all dim.s are mil. ........hole size is 50mm as near as I can tell without knocking a bush out James ..... pins are 1-3/4" .... those dims are as it's sat on the bench .
by the time it's stuffed in a 50mm hole the bore will be 1-3/4" / 44.64mm ..... polish the outer off a bit James, 'fore knocking 'em in and you'd get a 45mm pin in 'em
