I’ve been giving well over a weeks notice for concrete for a long time, my supplier won’t formally book it in over a weeks notice but will put a hold on the slot for me which works well as I never deviate from it anyway

No you have the aggregates tax in NI?
As far as i know, £2/ton from what i remember.
Lots of quarries here which probably helps bring cost down, i have one around 1/4 mile away from me and another around 3 miles away, have a further 4 or 5 within a 15 mile radius

So what sort of money do you pay for aggregate delivered. Type 1, 20mm clean etc

Not sure what type 1 is tbh, assume its a kind of crusher run?
Usually £6-£10inc vat per ton for 1.5, 2.5, 4, 9 inch crusher runs, half inch and three quarter blinding, clean drainage stone(1,2,4 inch)
Smaller stuff like pea gravel, 6-20mm aggregate etc is dearer, pay £10-15inc vat per ton for it.
You can get grizzly, clay fill amd recycled rubble for around £4/5 a ton.

One quarry in particular is very easy to pay, especially if you collect and pay cash, quality stone for under a fiver a ton 👌
