A couple of new hoses for the extension on the oil filter after one developed a little leak I thought it was a disaster when I first opened the engine bay 😯

I gave her a new filter and a oil change while I was in there and covered in oil

Apparently the new hoses won't go brittle like the old ones did they certainly look the part

Deutz self contained power plant ... oil and coolant rads on back side of motor .... turbo BF4L or M ... IIRC .... lovely little motor

It's the best machine I've ever worked on for access big door on the side the a dozen bolts the top comes off and a dozen more and you can take the other side off and it's like having the engine pretty much on the bench 👍

mine's pretty much the same ... 4 bolts and two gas struts and the lid'll lift off -- but you'd need an FLT or similar.. 's a lump.
then the inner side wall / bulkhead is a couple more bolts .... drop the belly plates and you're under it too

Yes my door only opens the side it looks like yours is the top too none of the bits on the case are overly heavy just a bit awkward because your on top of the machine trying to juggle them

That must of replaced the air cooled Deutz . Any issues with it at all ?
aye .... they're in all sorts ... lovely little motor ... completely self contained .... volts, fuel and a zorst and you're cooking on gas with whatever you bolt on the back end ..... first flick every time (y)

the coolant rad is mounted in an enclosure on the back side of the motor together with, in my case, a hyd oil cooler and cooled by the gert fan at the front ... hydrostatically driven / viscous coupled by belts ... self contained ;) ... is spec.ed from Deutz like it it's a BF4M 1013 - integral cooling pack

Do they have any cooling issues ? Can you get to the coolant?

none I'm aware of ... green/blue glycol antifreeze in mine 50% mix ... been fine since 2014 .... topped up maybe 1/2L a couple of times, but is almost always on the mark.

No worries you never know when your shouting onto the void wether anyone's interested and I'm definitely learning something.

Doing a bit of tramping around around north yorkshire in a duck gives you chance to admire the views

Yep agree with that. It’s amazing the places that we go with our machines 😊
And loads of children want to sit in the seat 💺
Our grandchildren are fast learning a few stick skills 🥰
But the best PR comes on private sites with a photo opportunity for the customers children. Funny how these snaps often appear on social media 🤣
