Rumoured to cost several thousands an hour for the helicopter (i was told 10k an hour but i think that may be ott).

was one over on the Cat's Back on the Blacks last year flying bags of stone up to the top for footpath repairs ... told it was £30k a day, but certainly shifted some bags in the time he was hopping back and forth .... they'd spent a couple of days laying them out in fields below ready ... would've taken days on wheels for sure and probably couldn't have gotten them in spot like this fella was doing, fair play .... had a great view of proceedings from here with the binoc.s
the trees are a ****ing joke IMHDO

on a side note .... was in Val D'Isere skiing, the week before the winter olympics in '92 and the army were there flying snow up onto some of the courses .. men's downhill upper reaches in particular .... the pilots were just awesome ... would fly up, swing the bags at the face and open 'em as they passed over, literally throwing a tonne of snow on the face, in a hit .. aaaaaaaand gone for the next one ... two of 'em and damn did they shift some snow

And when you consider the trees are to climb so they can be taken away in sections is even worse. May as well just drop them on the floor in bits and clear up.

That was just his costs and it's his helicopter. If you were running a business there are so many other overheads as you all know. I recon Gra is spot on with his figure above. You wonder why they didn't install a log burner in the visitors center!!!!!

What is it with you and rams wouldn’t like to be a male sheep at your place

3rd one I’ve bent since September!...
This ram probably developed a weak-spot when I twisted/snapped this grapple a month ago - it wasn’t really designed for what I use it for. Much stronger now it has been rebuilt but quickly showed up the damage to the ram unfortunately.
Anyway, new rod fitted and collected from Midland Hydraulic Services the following morning (amazing service!) and she took all of the abuse I could throw at her over the weekend with no further issues!
