simple question to you educated lot.
need a tipper which is capable and legal which can move a 2.7t digger plus buckets about,dont want the hassle of tachos etc.
any recommendations

There isn't any. Unless anything has changed in the last 4 years 2.5 ish is the highest payload (minus ramps).
Indespension has the lightest plant trailer which will make you just about legal

Trailer wise no idea about 7.5t plus vehicles but you'd need o license, tacho etc

I presume u mean tow it
Which will mean buckets need to go in tow vehicle which means a Toyota land cruiser ute, ssangyong and old school defender are the only of the shelf options
Someone on here had their dmax upgraded
Or there are a variety of vans that will do it

I thought you meant pickup like 4wd twin can
I always think of transits as a van
Some transit tippers will tow 3.5t some won't
I think the twin rear wheel ones can but not sure if it's a rule
Would have to check individual van
All iveco dailys can
And I think most tippers it's an option out the factory

A lot of transits have very poor towing weights, even the twin wheel ones.
Iveco Daily is what you need.

Not all ivecos. Some are 2.8t

It all depends on age and spec

most 7.5s 're plated to 12t but can only realistically tow 3.5t on over run braking ... a purpose built trailer with linked braking for the extra tonne tow cap. is barely worth it and needs a class 2 license (or whatever that is now)
7.5 on a pre '97 car license entitlement can only tow 750kgs max
but a well built 7.5'll carry 3.8-ish tonnes and still be able to tow 600kgs -worth of buckets ...... but O license, plating, periodic inspections (frequency subject to usage/mileage) and an operating centre (plus all the CPC crap?? - @JD450A ?)

It depends on the lorry
Using standard council spec tarmac lorry's as an example
A full fat 7.5t lorry is capable of carrying just over 2.5t
The iveco daily or Isuzu van on steroids type vehicles are capable of carrying over 4 tonnes
