Someone's too well off changing them tyres, loads of life left in em.
Nah - was a bit worried about the 'new' DVSA enforcement rules on tyres over 10 years old :p
Do you think this one will 'go again'?

Great excuse to use my 'new' tyre levers......

Anyway when I changed the tracks on my mini 2 years ago, you lot told me that they had life left in them.
There was a fcuking great crack in the metal links
Still I got 99p for them on eBay :devilish:

The ones on my dumper have similar amounts of tread left on them, however they are cracked to h*ll...tho I won't be replacing them till they let go totally.
Likewise with these tyres and have been meaning to change them for a few years BEFORE they let go :p
These beats up old ones all have tubes in them and are really are on borrowed time.
My brother, who is a time served mechanic, always let things go until they give up
My philosophy is prevention is better than cure.
I'd rather change them now when it's slack rather than when I'm over on a muddy site up to 100km from base

My spare dumper tyre is a tube but the ones on the dumper aren't, its alot easier to string a repair than to break it down to patch a tube.
With you on that one buddy (y)
Converting them back to tubeless.
For many years now have carried a string kit in my truck - got me out of the shite many times :devilish:

Tbh i can't remember the last time it had a puncture but luckily i have about 12 spare wheels (all with similar vintage tyres) so i can keep going a while yet cheaply. I keep thinking of making a set of four duals up for soft going but never get round to it.

Got to yard this morning and......bloody puncture 😪
Think you guys were all tempting fate talking about punctures and stuff
Hopefully you got it all fixed up with yer string 😝
Funny thing is that this evening when I sat down to dinner my son-in-law phoned.......
.......you know, Rod, the Grab Lorry Driver.
He was broken down on the A120 with a puncture in his Mondeo and couldn't change it because the previous owner had replaced some of the nuts with the wrong size:mad:
So, Navara loaded up with trolley jack, sockets, breaker bars and amber beacons.
All changed without drama.
So, no more talk about punctures :ROFLMAO:

So yesterday we did some serious fettling of the wheels from the Benford Dumper....

IMG_3773.jpeg

Some clown in the past had run all the outside of the wheel rims up against stuff.
Must have noticed it 'cos I even had to got the propane torch out to sort out the dinks
Then it was:
Needle gun for concrete and scaly rust
Angle grinder wire brushes for surface rust
Angle grinder for the
a duck and man basket's pretty good too, but i need a clone to get in the basket with the chain saw :(
perhaps you could train Clara to use the stick on yer Duck 🥰
Our Tashy could use my mini before she could reach the drive pedals 😉
