I’m always interested in innovative houses. Bog standard are pretty boring. Is that an alley down the side so they can have the front door in the middle to reduce the corridor effect?
If you get a chance of some photos when it is up I would be interested to see what they have achieved on such a tight site.

My op had an hour spare yesterday after a little job with the micro, so we took a hawser to site and dropped a little ash tree...to make way for the BIG fucker that is coming out on Friday when I have a winch tractor on site!

Think I'll need the bigger saw... 18" isn't going to cut it (pun intended)

It's halfway down a bank too :cautious: it's gonna be like a scene out of Axemen.:ROFLMAO:

I'm pretty good at felling trees and have done similar multiple times. I''ve treated myself to a nice new 36" light bar for my big Stihl which won't be quite enough but I'll put a 20% cut in to the hinge from the tricky access side, then 36" should be enough to let me finish off from the safe side. The guys from the local sawmill have a winch tractor. We'll set the hawser up at the second fork, then block the tiny lane below for ten minutes whilst I put the cuts in. Then we'll have to stick the winch onto the butt, cut the butt off and drag it up the bank.

The hinge looks dodgy on the felled tree in the photo but what you are seeing is the black rot in the middle giving the illusion of a bad cut at 90 degrees to where the cut actually was!

I'll see if I can get a video.

Another nice job. Looks as slippery as **** , I’m glad I wasn’t paddling about in it.

Thanks Graham (y)
Slippery is one word for it! Yesterday was horrible to work in. Only plus side was seeing my hapless employee doing the stationary two leg running slip, like he was on ice! Legs flying, body struggling to keep balance, I swear I damn near pissed myself laughing :ROFLMAO:

All done. Didn;t have anough blokes to stop traffic, run the winch, cut the tree and take a video  but took a couple of pics. Came down OK, didn't look half as bad once it hit the deck as the top was all dead so blew apart leaving us jsut the big stuff to deal with. (y)

All tidy by half three. The springtine rake was great for clearing up all the smashed brash.

Loving the extra counter weight
It does the job! I reckon it makes it about the same as the CTS version. Best of both worlds, although to be fair it's rare we ZTS it. Handy to have the option though.

I christened this today. 36" is a bit much for the oiler to cope with, so we gave the chain a squirt from a spray can of chain lube after every cut.

Nice looking saw Bud.Do you run the proper chain oil in it?
I use the Husqvarna chain oil and that stuff sticks like a turd to a duvet
