Waste oil collection is only local to us as far as I'm aware but I will check tomorrow for you and let you know, we have a third party that does the pickup for us at a discounted rate etc but they may know of someone else who is over there or makes the trip, what quantities are you talking?
Tiny amounts compared to others. I think it's 8-12 gallons.

Yeah, I'm with you on trinkets vs discounts.
Trinkets work for large company's where the buyer can swipe the trinket and the company gets the bill.
Owner/operators always want to see a discount.

Apparently you need a thicker skin in the aircraft industry!

There page just blocks you on my iPhone can’t close that stupid box no matter if I rotate Or zoom it always changes, 2 tries then nope! Get your web page right ffs!

Fuchs is our main supplier (Some may know them as Silkolene who they bought a long time ago)
Castrol
Shell
Gulf
Liqui Moly
Millers
SAR Lubricants
Hyperdrive
Valvoline

The advantage we have with Fuchs is the fact that most of the oils have up to date Approvals meaning the machines are covered under warranty etc and everything is made to very high specifications but more affordable than some of the more commonly known brands in the market.
all the right names there :giggle: not long bought a 205 drum of Fuchs Plantohyd 40N, from Tom at Exc@v8 and Shell Rimula X is my oil of choice ... be interested to hear you figures on those products.
will be a while 'fore I'm in need of the 40N again (barring disasters), but not long finished my barrel of Rimula.

Okay cant see the brand on that so not entirely sure on the full specs of it but obviously it has the E7 spec so I will go off that for now and this one below is our most popular choice anyway:

Fuchs Titan Truck Plus 15W-40 - 205L Delivered direct 3-5 working days - £336.35 ex vat
 ACEA E7  API CI-4/SL  GLOBAL DHD-1  CAT ECF-1-a/ECF-2
Approvals  CUMMINS CES 20076/7/8  DEUTZ DQC III  MACK EO-N  MAN M 3275-1  MB-APPROVAL 228.3  MTU DDC TYPE-2  RENAULT RLD / RLD-2  VOLVO VDS-3
FUCHS Recommendations  ACEA A3/B4  ALLISON C-4  CAT TO-2  CASE MS 1121  CUMMINS CES 20071/2  DAF  IVECO 18-1804 CLASSE T2 E7  NH 330 H  STEYR A-201

we have a marginally cheaper option from SAR lubricants but by the time you add delivery costs it will be more expensive unless you are local them in Mirfield WF14 8LU

Thanks, yes E7 spec. Quite a Bit more than we normally pay
yes but a main stream manufacturer Ross ..... Fuchs themselves ...... Like Shell Rimula ... it's never been cheap, but if you run kit with £10k engines the best you can get is a cheap investment ... ;) ... never skimp on oil

I've got approx one and a half IBC's of waste oil to get shot of, will need to look into doing something with it before long.

I dont skimp on oil, I went to some effort last year to make sure we found a oil that suited most applications. having done 3 barrels in a year not had any failures. Was recommended by 2 mainstream plant firms the place we get oil from. Also not been paid anymore or less for what oil we put in.

didn't mean to imply that Ross and totally understand where you're coming from .... you are in a different position to actually running the gear daily/weekly and can understand that as long as it's up to spec., it's adequate for the purposes of onward sale with a sump full of clean liquid gold.

thing with most machines is, certainly from a used side. You dont really know what's been run through it already and quite often clean new golden stuff is a very big birthday compared to what came out.
not saying anything does, but usually anything is better than whats in it.

Yes that's fair enough, Fuchs can be dearer than some other brands but there oil is very highly rated (premium like castrol, shell etc) but considerably cheaper than them usually.
The biggest advantage we find with Fuchs is the ease of mind knowing that you don't have to worry that it barely meets specs etc they go above and beyond them also they often claim a reduction in running costs especially when running in haulage engines etc which is a big bonus these days.

Bio grade Lubes seem to have big differences in prices from what I've seen so far, we haven't done a lot yet on the bio side but they do seem to be gaining in popularity
