Interesting concept coming from Festool, I can see these developing and replacing the site gennies before long.

Can power any 230v tool it says. Good luck in the UK market expecting people to have 230 tools, or do you have to drag a tranny round too

Yes mah e not ideal...but try running a table saw and big dust extractor off 18V my point was it's the way it's going.
I clearly remember my dad getting a cordless Bosch drill...with a keyed chuck in late 80S? Seemed futuristic at the time...

I've still got 3 or 4 of them .... and chargers ... batteries completely upgefucht .... will be collectors items shortly ......... was gonna chuck 'em, but might list 'em on ebay under collectors - appreciating assets

I only have mini diggers but wouldn't be without my makita drill adaptor grease gun. Way easier to do on your own. Bought a few M12 bits (die grinder, 90 degree die grinder and 90 degree 1/2" impact wrench'; and and I gotta say they are s**t hot. My Makita top of the line 18v impact driver has just dies after two years, so I'm thinking about going M18 for it's replacement. Milwaukee's top of the range model is way cheaper than the Makita and has more power! I can almost get the impact driver, two batteries and the charger for the cost of the bare Makita unit! WTF?? Pains me to say it after years of blue till I die, but these M12 tools have swung me.

Trouble is I need to find a battery adaptor to Makita cause I can't be doing taking two sorts of battery to every job.

have considered buying one of them ... looks tidy ..... but I just really don't have the need .... can get around the 'Drema in about 20 minutes usually, with the Alemite and G coupler on a long line

20 mins I normally put the case on sucking fuel out the bowser and I'm done before it's on the sight glass

's not the time pumping LL it's the clambering about getting at half of 'em ..... even laid out some're still 10ft above GL

Mind it's easy to overlook the fact that being a duck there'll be axles/steering legs etc to grease which will add a few.

yeh .... there's a dozen on the blade ... 'nother six on the front axle, four in the props, ten in the legs .... etc.

And probably good to get at so long as you're a contortionist. Only takes couple of mins to do taki and none at height.

I don't suppose it matters enough but with that many grease points you could fit grease gallery's lower down the boom and have lines running up the boom to the high points

be ok for DIY but sites banned 240v tools, 110 only if you must and they dont like that either as trip hazard with cables. No real reason not have battery tools these days. Just buy enough batteries to see you through the day.
