Lift tables/ trolleys

Can anyone recommend a lift table or trolley for moving and lifting stuff like engines. Ideally I would like one that could lift the dumper or digger but suspect they would be too dear.
It seams every time I lift something heavy I put my back out now even if it's not really that heavy.

If you have room you can’t beat a forklift.
there are reasonable priced vehicle lifts out there, although I suspect they are Chinese, but lifting and moving a digger or dumper on a trolley is quite an ask.

I'm on the lookout for one constantly but hoping to just stumble across one. I've got planning permission for a building to keep machinery in so a forklift will be a must.

had five in work from 1 to 7 t .... just could not function without them, even with cranes from 8 to 45 t .... FLTs're just so quick and convenient ..... and immensely versatile ... just don't like soft floors though, unless RT versions

2nd that...the stuff we've done with them deffo got to be one of the most abused/versatile/usefull bits of kit for the money. They even do electric versions for greenfreaks....oh sorry they have for the last 30 years scratch that.

I love my forklifts. Just bought a cheap electric stacker which might be perfect for what @Russell wants. £300 with a knackered battery, just wired up a pair of old starter batteries in parallel and that’s enough capacity for what I need

Got to be honest, just getting the forkhead on the Kx71-3 has been a major help around the farm. Wish I had adapted the ones from @Gunners years ago!!

Yes if you have a concrete or tarmac yard electric forklifts with battery's that hold a hour or so's charge can be had quite cheaply though if you have a shed to build I'd be trying to get your hands on a telehandler

... but at serious cost Thomas ... and they'm a huge lump ... 2-3t FLT'll tuck in just about anywhere ..... the reach of the tele is great, but does come at huge costs in comparison to conventional FLTs

Oh yes there great and cheap on hard going but if you have to go anywhere remotely soft they just disappear though maybe it's a bit overkill for a hyd lifting table but I've never got on well with those lifting trolleys and always end up humping stuff maybe a duck with forks is the solution

As good as a forklift would be its too big for my shed. I need something not much bigger than a pallet pump truck.
I like the idea of a pedestrian forklift though

Bloke I know has a pallet trolley electric lift type thing. It all works being cantilevered had to drive over the 2 legs or could push in after then fold out frame. Got my van up on it Xmas eve to weld the exhaust. Says it does upto 2.5t I think. To me even my van looked a bit wobbly on it though. Sure he said it was a few grand. No pics sorry

FLT and a set of long forks/extensions are a great way of 'wheel free' lifting vehicles ..... just have to get the balance right as the bulk of most vehicle's weight is well forward in the engine bay ....

main thing is to remember to put a suitable length fail safe prop under the fork carriage ... no check valves on an FLT mast .. if the pipe does pop it'll just sit there

I've got telehandler already for building shed. Little flt is for when sheds done for moving stuff in and out and around.

need a good floor to run them about on though ... flat, smooth and level .... not counterbalanced like an FLT .... and don't handle conventional pallets ... only stillage type with no bottom rails

Ill try and pick up a cheap broke one in a couple months when some jobs come in. With a bit of luck I won't need to take the engine out of the dumper again for a while. There is one on eBay for £500 with a iffy drive motor, that's the kind of price I'll be looking at. Would also be useful if I do a galv chassis swap on the disco.
