I’ve had this twice so far with my kids, and additionally my wife had to spend 2 weeks at home as track-and-trace said she’d been near someone who later tested positive. As far as we know (negative tests for the kids, no symptoms for the better half) we haven’t had COVID. It is all massively disruptive!!!Update. Daughter has been off for a Covid test this morning as her “cold” has developed into a temperature. So in line with government and school policies we are now awaiting results. She was unable to provide the throat swab and wasn’t particularly happy with the squab up the nose.
In the event of an inconclusive test.....we are house bound for 14days!!! Better get online and order some more beer....might be a long 2 weeks!!
That's why you dont have anything to do with track and trace ..I’ve had this twice so far with my kids, and additionally my wife had to spend 2 weeks at home as track-and-trace said she’d been near someone who later tested positive. I can top that, my bloke has been off four f****ng times cause his little s**t sniffled at nursery and they won’t let him back without a test.I’ve had this twice so far with my kids, and additionally my wife had to spend 2 weeks at home as track-and-trace said she’d been near someone who later tested positive. had similar with Clara a couple of weeks ago ..... was one hot little girl for 24 hrs or more ... neg. test though so relief in this house as she'd been sat on my lap for two hours, when she came home from school, feeling unwell.(but not hot, 'til late evening)Update. had a decent day here for a change ... limited sun, but dry and incredibly still ... not a breath of breeze, which is very unusual for usNormally in the field flogging Xmas trees this time of year. It is rather wet today so I am happy for the staff to take the lead today!!
surely he has to run a high temperature before they'll even test him ??? and if -ve .. happy days .. carry on ... bloody frustrating thoughI can top that, my bloke has been off four f****ng times cause his little s**t sniffled at nursery and they won’t let him back without a test.
Still three/four days off work every time getting a test and waiting for results.surely he has to run a high temperature before they'll even test him ??? and if -ve .. happy days .. carry on ... bloody frustrating though
No way in the world I’d have track and trace. My wife is very straight - tows the line and does everything by the book. I told her to feign symptoms and get a test (if negative she could have returned to normality) but she wouldn’t even do that! That's why you dont have anything to do with track and trace ..

so the boy is running a temperature each time?surely he has to run a high temperature before they'll even test him ??? and if -ve .. happy days .. carry on ... bloody frustrating though
Don’t need to - it’s if you show one of the symptoms you are supposed to get tested. It’s been a new cough in our case.so the boy is running a temperature each time?

We live surrounded by woodland, and it is very quiet around here. One day whilst isolating she took the dogs for a walk in the woods (off our land, no more than 1/4 mile from home, very little chance of seeing anyone else). When she got home she received a message through track and trace reminding her not to leave her house...
Mobile phones are a nightmare!!!
always my first Q., if I don't recognise the number, or doesn't come up in my directory, is "who am I speaking to please ? " followed by " what's it in connection with? " if I'm none the wiser who they areAny time anyone ever calls me they say is this James soandso I always ask who's this before confirming. The second anyone says track and trace they're getting dinked, and no I don't have the app!
If I feel ill I'm sensible enough to know what to do.
Exactly. I'd rather use common sense. In my case I can easily isolate for a couple of days and assess how I am.Any time anyone ever calls me they say is this James soandso I always ask who's this before confirming. The second anyone says track and trace they're getting dinked, and no I don't have the app!

Yup. But he always has a temperature, he’s a sickly kid.so the boy is running a temperature each time?

That was a threat of terrorism, you should have alerted authorities immediately!Ok so had one of those last week...it's "Jason" from Microsoft I just laughed! Midday on a Saturday in middle of bacon and eggso laughed a bit more he then went off on one...said he wasn't from Bangladesh (I politely asked if he was from there) he was from Pakistan ...started calling me some pretty un repeatable names he'd obviously picked up from US movies...then said ok you want another 911 ? You getting one you son of a b*tch. Amusing but can't say it improved my feelings towards them lot.

The sooner they microchip you the better.COVID UPDATE. The snot sample didn’t have any traces so I am allowed back out!! The thought of home schooling for 2 weeks had me worried more than the potential problem of having COVID!!![]()
