thinking of buying this and doing air over hydraulic conversion, anyone done it and thoughts? will do for tractor and maybe proof of concept as draw bar behind 18ton tipper etc

also think this was in euro auctions anyone know what it made haha

Air over hydraulic are dead simple just swap out the brake chambers but as Rory said it may be difficult to mot it once converted
If the tractor hasnt got air there are various conversion kits available
There is even a tw25 running air breaks round here although not the neatest setup

Agree, it might be every bit as cost effective to put air brakes on the tractor. I know another of big deeres like yours had air brakes

Never mind any of that but unless I'm reading it wrong if max gross weight is 8800kg it aint plated to carry much cos i bet it weighs a bit empty.

Sit at about 2-3t empty. There lighter than you think

They maybe are but if op is planning on moving an 8 tonner about on it......

3 or 5 tonner just local, 8 and bigger go out on my mates fastrac setup

Need to be bigger Truck or as a conversion, I think it’d be a newer one if I’m going to run behind truck with have really tight access under low bridge and tight 90 turn so more try this a bit with tractor and if it works set about finding a more legit wagon based setup

You will find drags follow very well if matched properly to a truck with a little tail

I think that’s what I’m going to go for to be honest Aiden, the English dealer isn’t far from me, will just spec one up to how I want it

The flat steel sides on the Tyrone multi-purpose dump trailer will possibly look tatty quickly once in use.
Broughan do a similar trailer that looks the dog’s bollox, but I believe they are dear.
I’ve got a JPM that I’m very happy with, and it was a couple of grand cheaper than the Tyrone.

I can just get my herbst dump loader rd the corner without a shunt which is 14’+ drawbar the Tyrone is 18 plus draw bar chieftain is 15’ was only thinking, herbst do
The mini loader one with metal bed but haven’t been impressed with our herbst (axel u bolts loose from new etc, lights etc)

Fastrac mate has the broughton 31 ton triaxle and got these 2 coming as well great trailers just can’t get them upto our yard

The Herbst is really exciting to load as the bed slopes at the back, so you have to go up and over at the top of the ramps! It’s amazing how close the tractor seems as you try and ease yourself in without taking out the back window...
