The Herbst is really exciting to load as the bed slopes at the back, so you have to go up and over at the top of the ramps! It’s amazing how close the tractor seems as you try and ease yourself in without taking out the back window...

Had ours 8-10 years now, cross fall etc gets, steel on steel gets exciting, loading tb180fr at 9 ton on hill and tractor back wheels lift up and it rolls off on you

If there’s room I don’t use ramps

Monkey, I’ve had a few moments with grading bucket grabbing onto front head boards coming up over the sloping back bit on the stupid ramps. Need to bolt some conveyor belt onto them

If you are looking at new and still have the idea of sharing it between tractor and wagon what about speaking to maccauley trailers seeing as they are one of the few that produce both agri and commercial trailers they might be able to come up with something that is exactly right for you

We bought a new low loader from Stewart trailers. had it for 4/5 years and when we sold it at auction after buying truck with cheese wedge only lost £3k. I put that down as good going, they hold their value better than most.

I can just get my herbst dump loader rd the corner without a shunt which is 14’+ drawbar the Tyrone is 18 plus draw bar chieftain is 15’ was only thinking, herbst do
The mini loader one with metal bed but haven’t been impressed with our herbst (axel u bolts loose from new etc, lights etc)

I’m sure they’d shave afew ft off the end for you? I’m sure you could get them to cloak the ramps with timber while they were at it
My mates also just ordered a 25ft broughan low loader.. prices don’t seem to bother the ag lads!!
