Everything else is gravel or grass. But it's not a big property unlike your place!
the rest is fairly low/accessible Alex ... just that the one pine end has the GL 10 ft lower than the rest ....... 's a bloody long way up from down at the lower level

such a sh*tty afternoon/evening/night here last night, this got its first 'airing' of the season ...

and no guard required ATM, much to the cats' pleasure ... they like to lie on the hearth stone ---- until they're cooked anyway :giggle:

here's the backs of a few flags Dylan @diggerjones

yet another crap morning... surprised to see Reo TBH was lashing down when the alarm woke me at 7.15, but thought I'd better surface, in case...
sure as at 8.00 he rolled up ready to finish the concreting off ... dug this one and t'other out ...

shuttered a few more and in it went

All like bloody drowned rats by 12 ..... all filled and out of 20 to dust ... 7 bags down ..... just two small runs up by the gate pillar to do ... once we get enough dry weather for him to finish the last two feet of wall ....... and called it a day as it just got heavier and heavier to monsoon downpour level
more dumpies ordered for friday ..... forecast for tomorrow is GRIM  .. day off ..

ordered a couple more bags of flint shingle too ... been meaning to top these up for a while ...

will bring 'em up to flag level - or there abouts ... and makes the merchants more enthusiastic to get it up here, when they've got 5t to deliver, rather than the odd bag ..... Jen, my contact in their sales office, who I went to school with says, "you want it in the morning Gra?" ... "er no ta Jenny ... have you seen the forecast for tomorrow - Friday'll do thanks !! " :giggle::giggle:
my boots and gear are still drying, but some serious progress made the last few days and'll not hold Reo up at all .... if it's ever dry again long enough for him to do the last couple of feet and get on to the flags, on top of it all :cry:
the man is an animal for work, fair play(y) ..... proper work ethic  ........ 's no wonder he is in such huge demand round here

another wet start ... but at least inside this morning ... too wet .. view from the bathroom window .... not really taken much notice of this view before ... usually dark or half asleep ....

did stop about half two and went and tidied up, from where it all got left yesterday when the heavens really opened up on us ...
Mk2
WP_20201029_12_55_58_Pro.jpg

worked real well (y)
got it all away, shutters struck, where necessary and pins collected up and away ...
burnt a couple of bags of rubbish then went and uncovered the top end to fold up the sheet, 'fore it blew away .... has picked up some here today ..
WP_20201029_14_38_56_Pro.jpg

as said .. not a lot left ... no wonder Reo is PO-ed at the weather :mad:

How did the great wall, the other side of the drive, with the neighbour work out in the end?
it eventually got rendered, painted, filled in, after a fashion, gutter up ..... knobhead was sneaking in real early and giving it a coat, 'fore we were about .... and has kept a real low profile / virtually invisible since .... I'll get a pic of the tap, when I think of it .... a right pig's guts ... used to be screwed to the wall, nice and tidy ... 's now a disgrace .... he'll have a fit when I eventually get out there and screw it to the wall .. which I have every right to do as (a) it's how it was and (b) I can attach WTF I like to a party wall on my side ;):giggle: ..... they usually scuttle off indoors when I appear into view  ...
was out there yelling at an unfortunate delivery driver the other morning who'd had the misfortune to go there instead of us ... driver couldn't believe the grief he got for turning his van round!!!!!:mad: ...
they're complete tossers ... someone'll deck him one day when he opens his mouth to the wrong bloke (y) ... there's currently a queue/list who're likely to do it :ROFLMAO:

Ahh the great wall of werngrousel is nearly finished to keep Pam and abergavenny safe from the ever advancing druid of monmouthshire arsenal of weaponry 😂😂🤣🤣
or keep them pesky Cornish piskies oot  :ROFLMAO: ..... might be a while 'fore i'm having to worry about repelling pasty muching boarders from down far south, the way things are ATM ... and'd prob.s be the safest visitors ...... as long as they don't stop anywhere on the way up ;):giggle: :oops:

made the mistake of rolling over when the alarm went off at 7.20 and had a rude awakening 20 minutes later when we heard a lorry roll up to the top gate ...
grabbed me clothes and shot out to let yon truck in with me dumpies and polys ....

bag of 20 to dust to finish off with, couple more sand for bedding the slabs and two bags of Solent flints/shingle ....
WP_20201030_12_30_38_Pro.jpg

dumped this un right by the mixer ... sand in with t'others ...and the Solent where I wanted 'em
WP_20201030_12_31_01_Pro.jpg

took the last bag with me to drop over the trellis by the kitchen window, on me way back in to me patch ...
WP_20201030_12_29_53_Pro.jpg

'fore parking her up for brekky ..... Lad on the truck was a well happy bunny ... had got his degree in Mech Eng. results through in the post this morning :) ... take my hat off to anyone doing and gaining a degree in OU ... must be a tough way of getting it.
He wanted a yap about anything to do with fabbing/welding (my acc. with the merchants is still in my biz name) and he'd assumed I was still operational ... nice lad though and always happy to chat with anyone interested in fab. ... few and far between these days ... so my brekky was real welcome an hour later :giggle: ...... had a couple of things I wanted to do this morning .... as it was actually NOT raining, despite the forecast of monsoon rain, until I got assigned a little job for Clara, who we were apparently expecting at 11 ! ... first i'd heard of it  .... anyway ... printed off some templates and Pam got it marked out. Then spent some time making the plan work .....
WP_20201030_12_46_58_Pro.jpg

Lino printing carving tools work well on pumpkin skin .

Clara loves Unicorns ...
WP_20201030_13_54_25_Pro.jpg

she'd 'gutted' this one on me bench and got to do her second 'own' one indoors ....
filled the sink with pumpkin guts and decided to 'make' some pumpyguts cakes
WP_20201030_15_52_56_Pro.jpg

WP_20201030_15_53_12_Pro.jpg

whilst Granny carved out a more 'traditional' design in no. 2, to Clara's design

these were a huge hit ... luckily Pam'd had the foresight to grab a few 'halloween' related bits a few weeks ago, before the supermarkets were banned from selling anything other than food ... Fair play to whoever made 'em, they kept Clara amused for hours, after her pumpkin sessions ... just bits of foam, stencil cut and had to break 'em out of sheets and glue the various laminated bits, but she loved 'em ... great for her dexterity and following instructions .. ikea could learn a bit from these guys :ROFLMAO: ....... almost all her own work (y)
WP_20201030_14_34_56_Pro.jpg

Clara and mummy / daddy stopped for tea, and aside from her pit stops for lunch/tea, she's not stopped since she arrived .... and been up since 5 apparently  ..... wish I had a quarter of her energy .... she ought to sleep well tonight :giggle::giggle: ........ I will for sure !!!!

I know less than nothing about lathes, seem to remember you looking for something smallish, can’t remember if you bought anything and have just seen this on FB.
Almost definitely a waste of yours and my time but thought it worth posting just in case!

Yes, there about 2.5t though.
" The 30-inch Capacity Triumph 2000 weighed approximately 1170 kg and the long-bed 50-inch version around 1280 kg.. "

the 60" Mastiff 1400 was only 2470kg .. and made the 2000 look like a toy
