Western Australia isn't a travel hub like UK. There's no exit plan from isolation other than vaccine. I think Australians have forgotten what recession feels like
Yep I think they are taking a different approach to severe cases and you don't get to the point where ventilation required. I think where patients have been put on to a ventilator they find it really difficult to get them off again.so if your lying there drowning in snot and gasping for breath, they won't ventilate you??????![]()
The treatment has moved on dramatically since the early days.Yep I think they are taking a different approach to severe cases and you don't get to the point where ventilation required. I think where patients have been put on to a ventilator they find it really difficult to get them off again.
There are some benefits to being at the ass-end of the world.Western Australia isn't a travel hub like UK.
I don't see anyone has an exit plan that doesn't include a vaccine, other than 'let it rip and see who dies'.There's no exit plan from isolation other than vaccine.
very interesting read Boyo .... and yeh I bet it was .... a killer, but more treatable than Covid .... but only a limited immunity. There are some benefits to being at the ass-end of the world.

One interesting observation is that areas heavily affected by Dengue are relatively unaffected by CoV19 (Dengue seems to provide significant resistance)

Having had at least one type of Dengue, I can assure you it's a steep price to pay.
and TBH I don't think he is that far off the mark in certain respectsIMHO we are holding onto the fabric of civilisation right now and I can't see it continuing.
had a bit of a hot and flustered look about him, walking from his chopper, sweating like a turkey on the 23rd of December ... bit like Boris did shortly before he went inOk...someone had to say it....Trump!!![]()
Call me a cynic, but given how badly his TV debate went and how badly he's doing in the polls, it wouldn't surprise me if he's faking it.Ok...someone had to say it....Trump!!![]()
It is the greatest strategy.Call me a cynic, but given how badly his TV debate went and how badly he's doing in the polls, it wouldn't surprise me if he's faking it.
Two weeks telling the world how ho good he is doing, how he never stopped doing his job and at the end he'd get to say "see, I said it was no big deal".
If he dies from it, I'll admit it was real.
Had a cold call yesterday from a debt collection agency offering their services. The vultures are circling.....
Ive had them every month or so for last 6/7years. You block number they use another. Was it from a mobile number? I had one during the week
There isn’t enough staff in hospitals without building anymore(Just spent 6 days with wife in maternity and the staff are run to the ground with so many off isolating without being able to get tests etc!)agree with a lot of that Rory ....... IMHDO, if it wasn't for the overwhelming of the NHS by the shear volume of numbers, I think they'd have just let it run its course in the first place
can build as many 'Nightingales' as they like, to cope with volumes ... but staffing them is the problem ... only a finite number of suitably qualified people, prepared to risk their own lives![]()
there is no one clear cut answer ..... depends entirely on 'where you stand' , to view the problems from ...... everyone has differing views, priorities and needs
after the dealings I have had with some customers this week i can say being 8ft tall and built like a rhino helps that or be a 5ft6ish slim blonde stock car driving rugby playing roller derby Glaswegian womenbeen around a loooooooong time ..... but dare say they'm pretty bloody busy dialing ATM....... on the rare occasion I had need, had a guy in Cheltenham who obviously really knew how to operate the system (or he was 8 ft tall and built like a rhino) ..... never failed ... long gone now I'd imagine ... but he always got a result
