My new shed floor took 4 days to polish up! The Last load went off fine in under 8hrs.. all the others were a right bugger up!!

The guys who laid it said that the concrete was really good (Breedons - they sourced it, I had no involvement in any of it). They’ve had issues with other suppliers before on bigger pours when the job is located centrally so that the trucks come from different batching plants, and everything goes off at different rates.My new shed floor took 4 days to polish up! Nothing worse than bad concrete, had this off cemex, was an hour to the plant, most of it went in fine.
Because it was a big pour they brought another wagon in from a different plant, he got lost 3 hours later he turned up, wet it up poured it out, the picture was 5 minutes after he left, had to dig it out and bin it off.

There won’t be much change out of £60k by the time it’s all done and wired up (which is about £20k more than I had in mind when I started thinking about it but I’ve upped the spec every time a decision has needed to be made!). It ‘should’ be worth more than that/add more than that onto my property value though I hope, and it’ll be amazing to have somewhere dry to work on kit at home!
