Just seen this on Facebook, M6 apparently
I think you are right, or a Rexton (think they are the same thing maybe). I think some of those can possibly tow 3.5 tonnes so (other than terrible load distribution) it might not be as ridiculous as it appears. What do we think the tow vehicle is?
My first thought was a SsangYong of some description![]()
Well they ain't wrong technically. How far back or forward you put it on the trailer will determine the noise weight. Thing people ignore is ball height on the towing vehicle a tri axle trailer especially will want to sit level, so even if nose weight was ok it could have still been trying to lift towing vehicle if ball was too low. Considering all the regs we have re vehicles in this country its amazing there's nothing covers tow ball height.Showed it some young lads ..who all recently passed their trailer test...I said to far back ...they said doesn't matter ..it's just that the nose weight needs to be right.??Didnt want to hear...so watch out for more of this.

But that's the thing there's so many variables, every vehicle has a slightly different ball height, trailers all vary. Down to experience at the end of the day cos the trailer test teaches you v little about it tbh. I have 3 ifor trailers, 12ft dropside, gh94 and a car trailer. Every one has a slightly different hitch height so I've had to pick a compromised ball height to suit all 3 as best i can. Noseweight should be minimal anyway tbh 50 to 100kgTrouble is, how do you account for loaded/unloaded vehicle? My Discovery4 on air will self level regardless of trailer noseweight, but put a transit tipper in its place and there’s a big difference loaded to empty!
