Lovely job on the wall. He was worth waiting for. And congratulations
thank you Dylan :giggle: ..... and yeh well worth the wait ;) ... even though it was VERY frustrating
That wall looks brilliant!
:giggle::giggle: don't it just ... wait 'til it's pointed up

Is the stone reclaimed, or come from where your yard was dug out?
it's stone I bought from a local quarry on a farm about two miles from here ..... plus some of the better stuff i dug out .... the majority of the lovely slab I dug out has turned to sh1t and falling apart .... will end up in me shed base as hardcore, sadly
Looking very smart that wall👍
thanks Mog ... Pam's over the moon with it (y)

Congratulations Graham!
cheers Boyo :giggle:(y)

day three (Wednesday's) progress, when the sheet came off this morning.....

and tonight (day 4),when I got back this evening.....

fair play he' s bloody quick and just keeps banging it down all day

changed the cable on his mixer this evening, for him ..... don't want him electrocuting himself on my watch ..... was in a HELL of a state
the drum's not a lot better .... he lent it to a mate ... hwo beat seven shades out of it 😡🤬 (i'd have shoved it up his a**e if he'd done that to mine) 😨

... he'll get a prezzie in the a.m. if he's agreeable ..... I have a very decent used drum here, that'll fit it, I had off @Delbouy a while ago

this lot hasn't spread itself out at all today :( ....
WP_20200716_19_09_49_Pro.jpg

after I brought Reo another pallet of stone down this morning, I've been up the farm most of the day hacking back overhanging hawthorns on the sides of the drive way ... getting out of hand and dragging on vehicles ... plus a few other bits and bobs needed doing and had to meet an agent at four ... gonna get a few quotes off a few .. might just hand it over and pay some other bugger to deal with all the grief  ....
I'm hoping for a steadier day tomorrow ;) ........ but very much doubt it'll happen

and some new outers installed ........ self centreing 'barrel' roller races are a bitch to press ... like a can of worms squirming about, 'til you get 'em 'captive'
View attachment 16337
@Delbouy 's press has been doing some sterling service lately ..... two spindles had some decidedly ropey bearings and I wouldn't allow him to re-use 'em so only managed to get one set of three sorted ... rest're a job for again when he's acquired some new races.

kept the dead sleeves here ... can never have enough 'round bits' when you have a press .... bound to come in handy at some time in the future.(y)

What are they pelletting? Animal feed, straw, grass? I re-bearinged a good few of those in a previous life, so I feel your pain. I’d like to see the inner face of the die, if that’s the state of the rollers.

****ing ar*e ... just logged into that auction site to have a crack at it and says bidding has ended ... bidding was up 'til 5pm today when I looked at it last night ...... not ****ing happy 🤬🤬🤬🤬🥵

and thank you all for the offers of assistance guys
You’re not gonna believe this but the hitch has appeared on eBay. Even better is it turns out a mate of mine is selling it. You still interested I’ll ask him what he wants for it to end the auction early?

I was looking for a hitch for our kubota on 40mm pins and that came up in listings. Didn’t even know he sold hitches. 🙄

yeh animal feed .... and yeh the mate tooling is in a knot ... new one going / gone in .... got the drop on the bearings ... but as said, like juggling spaghetti initially .... got a few more to do when the new bearings arrive .. those in the post were a re-sleeve job ... bearings were perfectly re-usable, apart from the one set  .... quite remarkable the damage a relatively soft product does to such hard tooling :oops:

today's installment .... and another mega day in druid central ..... will be glad to get to bed  ..... couldn't tell you WTF I've done all day, but I've not stopped ..... I know I rounded the day off with mixing up 3 barrow-fulls of concrete to fill the 9" hollows on the returns at the step points in the wall, so Reo can get the one done he's left and not be delayed on the rest ... quite a therapeutic end to the day :giggle:

all grass massacred this morning
