Congratulations Graham & Pam.
I've heard of shotgun weddings, but 21yrs to decide, then rushing to the Registrar of a morning just to accommodate the stonemason, now that takes some beating.

I trust you have many happy years as Mr & Mrs 👩‍❤️‍👨without any HMRC intervention. :ROFLMAO:

Now go put that suit away and get out there to labour for the stonemason.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Druid. Although thinking about it there have been signs the rush to get the drema road registered as the wedding car and the training of Clera to drive it so she can take you down there :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Congratulations Pam & Graham, and well done for making sure it happened 👍

although I can’t help wondering, Graham, if it’s all a plot to create an excuse for an extravagant wedding present to yourself?......

so ... the busy day was as predicted ... least the best part of it was .. manic ..
Reo arrives at 08.00 ... gates're all open, as is the black shed for power, for the mixer ... and he's a coffee waiting ... like me he consumes a LOT of it in a day

08.10 a 6 wheeler arrived, piloted by 'Santa' with a SEEEEERIOUS 15t on board ... to the gunwales ... spin him round and back him in where i want him ...
WP_20200715_08_44_03_Pro.jpg

middle of that me phone rings ... merchant's driver after directions ... "I'll call you back in five mate" .... Santa tipping and ring him back .. talk him in to where he needs to be .... they still hadn't revised the post code on the delivery note, but he wasn't that far away on another drop, so that was sorted .. Santa met him at the bottom of the hill up to us, where they're planing ...
he arrives and I spin him around and park him where i want him .....
bag lifter on and he too is impressed with the ease of use .....
WP_20200715_09_15_19_Pro.jpg

beats the 4 hooks on his block grab and I had all four of 'em off, in the time it'd have taken him to get his hiab set up :giggle: and stuck along side the drive, by where Reo has his mixer set up ..... also saved me getting PO-ed when he stuck a leg through me 12" land drain pipe, beside the drive.

Santa, who's dropped a load elsewhere whilst I'm sorting this un out, see's him exit onto the main road and heads back to chez Druid, with load #2 ...I'd dropped the bag lifter and grabbed me fave Geith and was squaring up load #1 when he rolled in ... and I slid forward out the way

WP_20200715_09_52_43_Pro.jpg

hopped meself round on the bucket, to deploy the blade and dozed it up a bit, 'fore heaping the rest of it, so's he could get #3 in the same spot

WP_20200715_10_29_36_Pro.jpg

and then heaped that one too , after a long conversation with the 73 year old 'boy' ... he is some character ... drives daily  for what was Alun Griffiths, 'fore he sold out to Tarmac  ... set to it once he'd shot off, after a coffee ... in the meantime, unknown to me .. with me back to the rest of the world .. Pam's sister and her hubby'd arrived (not seen 'em since the end of Feb. -- closely followed by Vicki and Clara ... no nursery today for her and Vicki had a couple of on line classes to take, so we had our first child mind, in four months .. Aunty Anne could not have timed their arrival better :giggle: and Clara had a great time with her

I'd now caught up and had this lot in one tidy heap, by 12.30 ... breakfast time .. was starving

WP_20200715_19_41_13_Pro.jpg

's 'bout 11ft high ... and probably closer to 50t than the 45 it was 'sposed to be :giggle: ... no complaints from this direction

'Drema was getting low on motion lotion and I'd loaded up the trailer with some drums last night, which I'd parked down on the house drive out the way ... somehow 'tween loads ... so had some lunch and ventured out with me BIL, for the second time this week, down to me fuel guys
630 ltrs later and relieved of 325 quid (49p/ltr + 5%) we headed back.

much fluid quaffing and yapping later, they departed around five ... and i got the old girl fueled up, before sticking the remainder in me new 'fuel dump' ... seemed the safest place for three drums o' liquid gold :unsure: .. and well out of harms way ..:)(y)
WP_20200715_19_40_01_Pro.jpg

after i'd shifted the pallet stack out of there and relocated them to where the two bags of topsoil'd been sat ... which 'apparently' was not the place to park it :(:confused:o_O so they got moved first ..... she's not noticed the 6 ft high pile of pallets yet :giggle::giggle: , which is likely to grow (significantly) as the 18 odd bags of stone get used and free up more pallets :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: ....... well they got to go somewhere ;) and the wood shed's full

tea stopped play for half an hour around six and then came back out to finish squaring everything away and lock up ..

been a VERY busy day .... but a lot done and a lot ready to be doing a lot more with ....... now to relocate a lot more stuff/att.s, out of the way, so's I can get this lot spread out .... 'cos if I want any more, they'm not planing again 'til next Tuesday  ... "Perfick" ... :giggle:

got a full tank of cherry, 'Tain't dark, I'm not gonna be wearing sun glasses ... and got 4 days to spread 'em :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I used these (shiply) a couple of weeks ago. 4 Alloys from Manchester to Leic £40. Was a supercar delivery guy who was going past both places on his run. Had a 20 plate 4x4 Porsche on the back had to be 100k's worth. Most other quotes came in around 60 but think this guy was just using it to subsidise his diesel bill!

I wonder what these visiting drivers actually think? "you know that weirdo up in the hills that keeps getting random things and materials delivered....."
Well I've known Santa pushing 40 years. He has a greater penchant than me for 'collecting' weird and wonderful ... sold him my old classic RR with a York 6 in it years ago and is currently trying to put the finishing touches to a Scania 110 flat bed ... only one in the UK apparently ... was a unit that got stretched ... his pix looked smart. As for the merchants ... have had an account with them for 40 years so they'm used to my eclectic tastes by now :ROFLMAO:

now let's go get another pallet of stone down to him ... he gets through it
