The current guidance is that attendance from the 1st June is not compulsory!!I have an 8 & a 6 year old and they will not be starting back at school in June. I doubt they will be going back this year. The council or whoever can fine me or do what they want but I am not putting my family at risk unnecessary after going through the last 10 weeks. They are getting some great home schooling and even know ratios after mixing up some muck for me the other day

spot on Boyo ...... there was a prog. on BBC Wales the other night ... I would like to think it was broadcast nationally .. it was filmed in the ICU in the Royal Gwent hospital in Newport ... a serious 'hot spot' in Wales .... absolute ****ing heroes, every one of those people ... not only do they have to endure the grief caused by all of the PPE, but they walk into a ward full of potential killers every day ..... one of the consultants on there - head honcho - said they're fully expecting another 'wave' in July ... worse than the first and another in October ... they have come very close to having to make decisions about who gets ventilated or not this time .... they fully expect to be having to make those decisions in the next wave .... when a top ICU consultant admits on camera, on TV, that 'next time' "we're going to be f***ed" -- his words - verbatim - s**t is seriously deep

Did it not give you a date you can claim it from. I went through it tells you straight away if your eligible and when you can claim from. Go back on after that date tick box to say you've been affected and that's it. Hmmm don't want to be harsh but some of the tales Ive heard of NHS are an absolute joke (not knocking front line teams as such) it's the back end non jobs that are leaching it. I know someone who won a contract that would have saved the NHS a stack of cash...he never got an order for 12 months...someone couldn't be bothered to switch suppliers..to much hassle...about time NHS had a massive shakeup.
Even worse than that are the jobs worth's that throw money at stupid things. My sister, I think I've mentioned before, works in a hospital heading up a ward and between her and the other ward manager they decided it would benefit the ward if there was a sink it a room at one end of the ward, there was no sinks near by for hand washing and or other sink duties and the plumbing was there for such to be installed, they got a local plumber who has done lots of work in the hospital before to come and set it up, also did a little unit thing for the sink,at a Cost of £4,500. Or there abouts. Then . A few months later someone within the hospital management team noticed this sink wasn't on the asset register and enquiries were made and the situation was explained. This was put further up the management tree and the sink was put out of use until a feasibility report was completed. Duly it was decided that a sink was required there and they would do it properly. Tenders were put out to upgrade this to a substantial setup that everyone in the ward thought was over kill but it went ahead, the local plumber didn't have a look in some company from far and wide appeared in and did the work. A few months later someone up high made a decision one day that room should be a store room only and it was all ripped out the next week. Now they are back to square one with no sink near by and the whole lot cost them £135k
