I can't see the point. It may fit 2m3 but can't legally carry it if soil, ballast or stone. Also being able the remove a side is very handy for loading and working off the trailer.

I agree. Having just put purchased a tri axle tipper (new price of which is less than that green monstrosity), that trailer above seems utterly pointless.

Buffalo. Seems well built. Just testing the water, see if it fits my setup. 2.5k plus vat from them direct, secondhand but been through their workshop.

Tows lovely but hitch height is CRITICAL else it tries to kill you. Had to stick my ladder hitch back on.

Sounds good. Well worth a try at that price.

any pix please Doob ... trouble with a tri-axle, is running the axles level unless they're on rocking beams and springs to compensate themselves, but even then need to be reasonably close to right ..... and can be a pig for pushing you about/in a straight line if the tow barge isn't heavy enough

Love a triaxle...mate of mine sent me a pic of ifor 16ft Tri axle...4 big bulk bags of sand...3 pallets of blocks ..thing didn't look loaded...said his landy hicap grunted a bit though...

That's the thing with tri axle usually bought by those who either badly load or overload.

The 3rd axle must be 200 kgs. I cant decide if tri axle tyre wear would be better or worse than a tandom axle.

Even so if the loads in the right place and hitch height etc bang on it'd look right. I know of someone who ran the older landcruiser delivering diggers a few years back often had 3.5 or 4 tonners on the back no one was ever any the wiser.

too much nose weight, forcing you to have your hitch too high and loading the rear axle harder .... a tow bar is for towing with .. not carrying half the load on the trailer .... it's important to get the nose weight right, so you can set your tow ball at the correct height to make the trailer ride level and thus load both axles equally

That’s pretty much impossible with my transit custom, at least it is if you want to open the back doors with a trailer on. Even with the bolts in the bottom holes the doors still catch the hitch if you’re not sitting level.

Caravans are really light and don’t exert much mode weight so it shouldn’t be an issue.

I find using an adjustable ladder type hitch plate gives you the option to have a higher hitch hight on the vans, you can’t open the back doors with the hitch on, but at least the height is correct for towing. Just take the tow ball/jaw off and stow it in the back when not in use.
