Friday was a trip to meet Mr Ollie Gunn to do the deal on the fork attachement he was selling. I lot of nattering later and said attechement in the back of the old disco and a slow drive home.

The phone had come from the Starter man and he had repaired the solenoid for the grand sum of £35. That went back on the digger today so ready for next week.

Quite an ordinary week. Back to the new plot where I had to carry on with reducing site levels and needed to break out some concrete. Hired in digger and breaker.....and hose promptly blew on breaker....got that fixed and managed to get the old foundations out, scape up a pile of hardcore ready for the grab lorry and took digger back home. Had a day doing another concrete bay on the big shed floor and Friday was pretty much a wash out. Got to complete a farm track at home. Supplier called at 11am to see if I still wanted the stone. If it is not delivered Friday then I won't be able to do the job in between the wetness of the weekend. So tipper turns up, backs up the drive and raises the back up to tip. About one half of a ton comes out of the 20 ton load. Combination of it being wet and sticky and the fact that he is backing up hill which has taken the tilt height from the tipper. So have to know stockpile and dumper. Fortunately not to far and probably not a disaster. Can roll out the terram and controlled tip the dumper to spread out to reduce the machine work.

Must try to remember to take some photos.

The dumper our of fuel turned into why are you not starting, which followed on with the starter deciding to throw the towel in. So starter off and up to my starter repair man, we are becoming good friends now, drove back home to get a phone call to say he had done it, so turned around to go pick the starter back up. Put the starter back and noticed a spare wire dangling about. Within the arc of “where did you come from “ was the stop solenoid!!!
Wire attached, dumper fired straight up.
Hopefully can get the track completed as we are having a bonfire and fireworks party this weekend and this track is to the top field where we hold it. Nothing like leaving it until the last week!!!

A thumb under a tilty??!:eek::eek:

Stone him!!!! :ROFLMAO:

You animal ;)

Yeah yeah yeah.....

In fairness to Rob when I first picked my digger up at Engcon Rob said I won’t need the the thumb. It does spend most of the time in the back of the truck. But you can’t beat it when you are dealing with tree waste, which there is plenty of in the middle of the pallets! It will be back it the truck later today as there is no need to keep the weight on the dipper when it is not in use!!
