they'll only fit MOD wagons Gra, we’ve looked at them before and the width of the runners is different.
wider or narrower Ollie ... and by how much .... nothing's insurmountable ;)

Thats a lovely little hookloader setup. I like the idea of being able to transport your machine to the job, and use it as a muck away/ pickup materials whilst you're there. How much can it carry?

How much can it carry or how much should it carry :)

It can only carry 3300kg incl the body - had planned to make up a light skeleton back to specifically carry that size machine but then you loose the ability to nip to the quarry for a bit of stone that you were talking about.... so prob just buy a plant trailer like alumax and put it on that when I am working a bit further afield. As you can see in the video it handles the KX71 very well and tows it lovely. With the trailer when I have a small days job that needs both3t digger and 3t dumper I can put dumper in wagon and digger on a plant trailer and get there in the one hit (y)

It is just really really handy - not only plant but when you are hand balling stuff off and on - I have had it for a year and a half and its deff one of those no going back jobs.

Photo from one of last weeks job splitting somelogs for the fire 🔥 splitter on the back of the tractor made light work of them. Bargain at that grandfather bought it new for 350 odd quid 10 years ago from an auction.

I’m going to say wider? but it was enough for us to walk away from them, which ever it was.
thoughts were additional rails whichever side needed them ??

Druid, we also looked at this years ago.

I can’t remember the details but if I recall the rails were just a bit too narrow. Not enough space to get new rails alongside.

By the time we found this out it was too late as we had already bought it so we were committed. We had to literally cut the underside of the thing to bits and remake it.

There was also another subtle difference with something at the back end also.

Long storey short - it was more trouble and cost that it was worth to make it securely fit a civilian hooklift.

a few pictures from work and at home over the last couple of weeks, the little yanmar is a rough old thing but i keep it at home for doing odd little jobs about the place without dragging one of the other machines home. I took 6 hours to get the tractor and chipper unstuck

You’ve got a lovely setup there - the Valtra looks mega!

How do you get on with the Woodlands Mill? I’m just contemplating getting one, would love to hear as many negatives as possible ideally (as only ever seem to hear good things!)...

That’s actually my mates 2019 t254 valtra and chipper, mines not quite as new but still a good setup. I’m pleased with the sawmill, i mostly bought it for doing jobs around home, for example those 10 inch posts would have cost a few quid to buy, but i cut them out off some timber from a felling job (ok the mill cost me 2k but we will forget that 🙄) the guy i bought it off had made a frame for it to sit on out of RSJs which stopped any flex in the frame which i think could be an issue as the tracks are sectional. seems to be a bit of a game to get it cutting perfect but i reckon that’s down to not changing blades often enough. i highly recommend them for the money

Not used my mill for a while. Quick job this morning for a customer, half an hour, £50.

Oh, and getting stuck in to laying a patio after finishing groundworks. Edges obviously only rough cut currently.
