I could'nt agree more i was born here in the South East my family goes right back to the 1700's here, but i would love to get out, it"s all about London and its overspills nowadays all of the outsiders moving in and they basically give nothing to the little villages and areas that they move into, They have no respect for the real locals as long as they can go to the local Gastro pub and scoff on a sunday with Tarquin and Jermimah and have a trickle of juis instead of Gravy then they are happy after there they all go off in their Range Rover Sports and Evokes and go home for a glass of vino and study the past weeks stocks and shares. We have had the odd one here as liveries they come own wearing all of the latest Horsey gear give the horse a pat and a handfull of treats then they go again it's a real joke but we take their money lol! Come monday morning they are all in a rush for the train to get to Canary Wharf, The South East is Fu***d now its gridlocked in the mornings and evenings you struggle to get round the M25, Anyone got a cheap smallholding in Devon!

I am also trying to fine one for a Fermec but it's proving a tad difficult to find.

same here TBH, but not the London bit ..... 'swhere half of 'em come from though :(
pay silly money for places and price the locals out of the market
some are weekenders ...... some are retirees .... same effect though whether they're 'trippers' or 'stoppers'

some integrate, to a degree .... others aren't here long enough to try.
SWMBO was only commenting this evening about how the house prices have jumped here, in the last 6-8 months .... she likes to scan the local agents ad.s, online, to see what's about  so has a fair idea on the pricing recently :(

Think it's pretty well a national issue .....

Sure my mate got a load for nowt a few years ago. Just rang round firms he wasn't in a rush and suppose they dropped them when they were planning nearby. Was a horrible rutted shared access road served around 20 houses with no agreement or covenants on maintenance and not adopted.

can give you the guy's number ....
he's based in Chepstow and runs all over

no such thing as cheap planings anymore, round here :( ... lots of places/plants recycle them .... can be hard to even find 'em at times .... if you can get 'em straight off the planer, if they're working local, they'm 140 quid a load (20t) .... but can be pretty bloody random stuff .... 8" lumps down :(

All I can say is
[a] you're lucky to have the space/need for 1000 tons (50 lorry loads )
and
even luckier to be able to take yet another 50 lorry loads and have all them planings 'on tap'

no chance around here !! :(

what were they planing ...... a motorway ??

did you use them or sell them on Mark ?
bloody brilliant price, but for that quantity, hardly surprising if they wanted shot of 'em in a hurry - and score 3 grand in one go ;)
