Graham - I’ve just stuck this lean-to (or should it be lean-from?!) on the side of my dry feed store (45 foot shipping container). It’s primarily to be used as shelter when we are lambing, but I’ve built it tall so I can get tractors etc under it when not used for sheep.
I thought I’d stick it on your thread as I’m sure something like this would be a massive benefit to keeping you doing what you enjoy in the best of Welsh weather! It wouldn’t be difficult (for someone suitably skilled) to install a running beam that poked out of one end for a basic gantry crane if the roof was too low for loading your bench with the kit you already have.

thanks for the thought ... I love it ... neighbours'd have an eppy ...... have considered summat along those lines over the ends of the three sets of doors, but sort of fold out with a good tarp stretched over a frame work and some weighted guy lines, to give me some bench cover .... problem with anything open here is the wind and keeping it put ... when it blows we're pretty exposed

May old man has started a bit of a collection, a 5000, a 4000, his brother bought a 3000, a few dexters a few Masseys, a TVO and a major that he bought completely restored like new.
He wasn't so sure when i brought the german home

I picked a few up for the ex’s dad when he decided he wanted to collect some tractors, he bought a 2000 and 3000 to start with. His collection has grown a bit over the last few years, the Fergie is one of his recent Projects..

Perky V8 .... that'd have gone down well if available from new CumminsV504 or 555 would've been my choice though .. those Perkys have a tendency to hunt on a steady throttle

I’m looking at it on my iPad so your probably right plus he does seem to cut the odd tree down so makes more sense than my observation

Sadly you are all right, it’s just a boring old splitter I’m afraid. It also runs a firewood processor though, and does a decent turn on a heavy duty flail mower once in a while which blows the cobwebs away/deglazes the bores!...
