See h&s I am sure say they are for emergency use only on a forklift or telehandler, I maybe wrong?
No issues with them but companies should be careful.

Imo outdoor scissors really shouldn't be driven around raised. it scares the hell out of me watching the electricians driving around in the warehouses fully up on a 1m wide machine
Been doing a bit of this today working on workshop . The rough terrain one we have on hire will move with it up and it’s not too bad , it has suspension like a rubber duck that you can hear locking when you stop moving .What I hate are the controls for moving and steering. It’s a one joystick set up with a button on top of the lever to steer . It’s the worst thing I’ve ever tried to manoeuvre ever . How on earth has anyone made something so awkward ! Are they all
Like this ? This one is a snorkel

Yes all like that and very very odd on. I have never seen anyone delicately maneuver one.
And we had an orange thing (Chinese brand I think that is suddenly very popular) and it got stuck on full lock as didn't have the power to turn the steering off of full lock whilst stationary. But didn't have the power to move itself on full lock. Had to get 3 people to give it a push.

Kangaroo hops! Mine has a high low speed setting which helps. I keep meaning to back the throttle off a bit to make it less lively. Can’t drive mine more than a couple metres high, maybe it’s the level sensors and will go higher on level ground?

Couldn't agree more...takes a very gentle hand to get them smooth even the the slightest jolt and the thing catapults you forward into the rail. Lethal. Absolutely crap controls...still trotted out years later . Had a brand new sky jack the other week...so jerky it's unreal. Must be a better option...guess they just presume they always used by numbskulls

The biggest MEWP in the world is currently in Scotland just now, they are using it to put the Chinese hat on the rocket up in the space port. It was shipped in from China on hire. I dare to think what the weekly hire cost is for that.
