most would be bankrupt if they weren't 'who they are' and creditors consider them safe bets, because of what they are
Privatise the profits, socialise the losses. I agree with Vin. It’s laughable to suggest that a natural monopoly that everyone in society relies upon should be in private ownership.

Don’t get me wrong- I want a smaller state. A smaller state that focuses upon the essentials such as defence, policing and supplying water.

Doubt that's happening ..watched Andy being roasted by kemi this week. He looks absolutely lost ...I know she's nothing to loose but if he's supposed to be the PM we are screwed.

What the water industry should be is a series of public interest companies one for each of the river catchment areas 😉

Trouble is he's trying to run a country like a city council..... Which means you can't go bust.

It's like the episode of the Simpsons where homer becomes sanitation commissioner...... We will see a few months of wonders.... Then absolute shitfuckery. I have no doubt we will see a colossal run on the pound post the budget....

Government needs to sort the reality that there are zero rewards for working hard.... But in a country run by suited winklepicker wearing wankers that's highly unlikely to happen.

Defence - with all humanitarian aid delivered by our armed forces including search and rescue, Water and Telecoms should be entirely in house government owned..... And as much as it pains me to say trains too. School leaving age dropped to 14 with real focus on deliverable 5 year apprenticeships training to a degree level from year 4.

Benefits? Means tested.... With any mental health benefits contingent on the parents financial situation.... And cut off after disabled child number 2. I know a few people who's kids have Downs and not one is irresponsible enough to risk it for time number 2.... Sounds harsh. But when you have disabled people deciding to have children they know will likely suffer you have to ask the question where inclusion becomes abuse.

I can't say I disagree with much of this . this is the sort of thinking we need to get the uk out of the hole it's in . Sadly we don't have a politician brave enough to push an agenda like it . I can't help but think the only thing that will make drastic changes in the uk now is war .

That or another 911 ...how we've dodged it this far is an utter miracle and testament to boys and girls at M16 and those well never know but I guess there's a few 40ft boxes in the desert that could tell a tale .

He’s an option but I don’t want my vote to be a protest vote . I want it to stop Burnham
Assuming this is accurate I'd guess that 100% of the Restore voters would prefer Reform than Labour🤦 classic case of a wasted vote sadly

Farage is a lying, duplicitous prick. He and his bunch of ex Tories are basically the establishment. Rupert seems to me to be far more straightforward, honest and trustworthy.

The whole 'they are a nothing party' argument is bollocks. Reform were a nothing party just a few short years ago. The voting share the Restore are capturing and the speed is incredible. They are only a few months old FFS! Reform are running scared. Already Farage has started reposting Rupert's policies verbatim just to try to hold onto the vote. Remember how Farage said only a few months ago that mass deportations were unworkable? He was saying that to try to appeal to the establishment vote, to appear 'electable'. Licking arse. Just look at how his tweets have changed now since he's seen that a large amount of the population agree with Rupert.

Rupert knows that Farage only has to make one mistake and a huge section of his support will turn now that they have a viable alternative to vote for. He also knows (and this is important) that the easiest gains in voting share come from giving the disaffected someone to vote for. On an average turnout of say, 60%, there are a huge amount of votes up for grabs. You simply must not underestimate the maths here. It allows for his 'share of the vote' vs Reform to increase exponentially.

Which leads me to the final point- grassroots support. Look at all the campaigning he is able to command to contest even 'unwinnable' seats. Volunteers. Grass roots. People who suddenly realise that what they've been told is not possible all their lives is possible. We don't have to accept decline. We were at the opening night of the pub near the yard the other night and as we had baby with us we of course got chatting to a young expecting couple who'd recently moved into the village. She let on that she is a Restore supporter. We chinked glasses and I told them that I'd been a member since day 1, with an extra few hundred quid donation along with my twenty. The other night we went round theirs for dinner to meet their new baby. Turns out they've been leafleting in the area and know the local office of Restore well. I'm looking forward to an introduction, and I'm taking two lads from the farm with me who also feel the same way.

Look at how Trump was portrayed leading up to his landslide win. It's the same. He's this, he's that, he's unelectable. Oh crap, he's won!

But in all honesty can you ever see Restore getting to the point where Rupert is PM in the next 10 years?- I can't, but I can see Reform being a contender. I'm the same as you not really a fan of Farage. Wouldnt particularly trust him but at the helm at the same time believe in much that Reform stand for so would prefer that over Labour. I'd imagine the moment Restore gained any real traction that is a threat MSM will start digging and dishing the dirt on Restore too. As you say with Trump look how easy it is to turn people to a particular persuasion

As said useful idiots.

We are all being played and none of them would be square and center in the media if the banks didn't want them.... Farage is a good option for the status quo.... As in all reality is Rupert......

What they can't have is us rejecting there authority.

Tell me what's so good to the banks about the communist party that's currently at the helm ?
