Does this differ from car/van manufacturers - they aren’t allowed to refuse warranty as long as vehicles have been serviced to manufacturer’s spec (doesn’t matter who undertakes the actual work providing it is done right with the correct parts)? In your example if an owner had proof they had undertaken the 3 services I don’t think the manufacturer could refuse the claim (something to do with EU block exemption rules I believe).

I worked for an independent Garage for a couple of years as a nipper when block exemption kicked in, did loads of work on new cars, customers loved us. Did a proper service but with all OEM parts, "what you take the wheels off on a service" someone once said In amazement!!
Them were the days, proper old fashioned service, customers would come in and watch with a brew in hand!
