Although Muslims are probably the worst of them I'm starting to think its a bit lazy thought to focus on them. Id be pissed off of we were overwhelmed with Nigerian Christians, or Chinese Christians. Its less about religion and more about our native people being a majority and having the right to a home land. Maybe I'm just getting more radicalised! Just been up milk shop, 3 brown nurses or health workers all talking their own language. I was so close to politely explaining to them I find it rude that people live here and don't talk our language. Fair enough if holidaying but to live here and not talk english in public is just rude to me.

I am not sure that is what the population of Wales would consider to be a good use of funds when I hear what a shambles the Health Service is in there!!

I find it ignorant but tbf your idea is probably the sensible middle ground. Who here would honestly expect to move to Italy or China and have the state and healthcare provide translation services?! Its not like theyve been forced to come here and its not like we speak some obscure language either. English is the most used in the world.

None of us here could understand English spoken a couple of hundred years ago, and you have to remember that English is a butchered mix of french German and Latin (french was the official language of Britain for 300 years). Likewise I don't consider slobing around in tracksuits, especially considering them smart enough to wear to weddings and the like to be very British. Nor do I consider the erosion of rights by our own government to be very British. I'm not saying that I approve of the mass migration. And even more so I disapprove of the birth rate of immigrants. But unfortunately any notion of ruining our culture is a fallacy as our culture is constantly evolving. And unfortunately I should think people for thousands of years have not liked how the culture has evolved.
I do think that if the government continue down there current path it will pave the way for civil unrest and open the door for unsavoury people to get into power.
And I wouldn't be surprised if this happened throughout Europe.

Well trodden ground ....but I do say that having visited the sw a lot over last few years there's massive variances in the density of said "newcomers" and that does tend to flavour ones viewpoint.

Ethnically aren't we pretty similar to French and German. I imagine there's not too much problem integrating in these cases. It was like when the EU was just the big boys, you didn't get any mass movement of people because the countries were pretty similar economically. All of a sudden you open up to all the ex soviet states and you got them coming in droves for economic arbitrage. The country voted Brexit to stop this IMO and they they got the boris wave and endless 3rd world immigration. Not even just the boats, we have people coming here on skilled work visas for vapeshops, barber shops (surprise), taxi drivers. All kinds of silly jobs some idiot has just set up a business for. It's all a big immigration con job.

Then again. Just come back from a holiday in Scotland. And wondered who was happy to pay for all the road signs to also be written out in Gaelic considering 0% percent of Scottish people actually speak it as their only language and a tiny percent speak it as their main language. Perhaps the tourists like it, which I realise is probably one of Scotland's biggest economies.

Some areas on western isles speak it as main language and it is widely taught . However I can't abide the sign changes either ! What a waste of money . No problem with having them in both languages on new signs or as older ones are due to be replaced have dual languages but to spend the money to change every sign is a ridiculous Waste of cash .

I`m not sure on light vehicles, but with trucks, the law stopped at Euro V, but it did not cover newer Euro VI trucks I read in the press some off this was to update to include these. No doubt they will also try and slip something in that will affect everything else.
