Is the backhoe loader a thing of the past?

Knowing what that dealer is like I'd save your energy
Excellent warranty and after sales I hear 🤣
One of my lads wrote off their brand new triple axle trailer a few years back, up the bum so our fault. (There were a couple of mitigating factors, but up the bum is up the bum!). They were pretty decent about the whole thing to be fair.

Here my Alabama trouser snake
Just realised, the line fits, but the wrong film
The 'Alabama Black Snake' is from FMJ.

I'll match your skanky hooker and raise you a decent beer.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
It’s about Time they stoped ratchet strapping wheeled machines down on low loaders! Two over the tyres simply isn’t enough! The tractor guys are constantly doing it!
absolutely .... way too much flex in the tyres ... realistically anything wheeled should be pulled down onto cribbing under the chassis, or have the jacks/front/back end down solid on the bed and chained everywhere

Everytime the 432 was transported it was chained, I'll also say I've never seen any other backhoe not chained...never seen one strapped (as apposed to chains) to tie down points and certainly never ever seen one strapped around the tyres...tractors I have but usually on dealer deliveries and not plant lads moving them.

It’s normal for anything on tyres coming out of JCB to be strapped (from what I see on the A500). I can understand it from a ‘Protect the paint on a brand new machine’ point of view, and I guess if done correctly it must be safe?! This isn’t a regular occurrence or they wouldn’t do it.
(But I do agree with the sentiment of chaining/blocking/securing these loads so there is no chance of movement).

Not difficult to put a bit of lay flat over the chains to protect paintwork.

I can't comment on jcb tie down points but you could tie the cat down without it rubbing paint. Big lug on the legs and nice big lugs behind the front wheels.

We always ran a long chain wrapped around the jack legs and then tightens with one binder between them.. never moved an inch! Then one either side of the front counter weight, could rag them easily enough, or one over front bucket.
Had one rough arse low loader driver chain down over king post, I was raging 😡

Didn’t that pull/bend your legs in?

Na, you go around the leg once and wrap the chain around the hook end that’s attached to the bed so it’s pulling on that, works very well, I’m sure the book says no nowadays though 🤦‍♂️
legs're usually floppy as **** anyway, unless it's a brand new m/c :ROFLMAO:
