Careful with that. My Navara got to the screeching stage and tiny bits of hot metal flakes from the discs embedded themselves into the paintwork behind the offending wheel. Only found out when I was cleaning it and thought what the hell are these little flecks of rust over the paint and running board

Must sort TBF. No trips over Dartmoor any time soon afaik

We can actually tell the difference, we just like annoying you ......

And if your from Sweden you can also possibly be from Norway, Finland and sometimes even Switzerland according to the real thickos

A very close parallel.
If you call an american, canadian or an Aussi, a new zelander, they will be mildly amused, but not overly offended.
Call a canadian, american and they might become impolite.
Call a new zelander, australian, they are likely to do the huka and make a boat from your skin.

When Oz was a penal colony, the second worst punishment for misbehaving convicts was to be sent to Norfolk Island (british equivalent to the french Devils Island (see: Papillon)). Except it's a 1000 miles from anywhere.
The worst punishment was to be dropped off on the coast of new zealand, and set free.

I had a kiwi girlfriend and would regularly tell her it. On a side note all there is to do in rural New Zealand is drink and root. And the women are incredibly good at both.

Bit of progress the last couple of days on the sleeper wall. Arms/t shirts have taken a battering the last couple of days, from cutting the steels with the 9 inch grinder and cutting/carrying the sleepers, while sweating out a gallon on 2 which makes all the dust and swarf stick like mad
Bit of a sun trap up here now.

last scrape round before the summer break, like lots I guess we've have had a fair run on difficult jobs in bloody hot conditions and are happy to be parking everything up for a bit
never seen dust like it, its 5mm thick on the machines, in our pockets on a night and sticking our eyes together in the morning, deff need a bit of a slecking ..

Where I worked in New Zealand, the dust was like talcum powder. Every time a field was disturbed it had to be rolled before you left for the day. Otherwise the field would blow away. They had had it happen before that they had come in, in the morning and the topsoil had all blown away leaving it looking like Brighton beach.
