And that's the reality of it. You have to tone yourself down and tow the line enough not to totally scare off enough of your electorate which is I suppose why most parties in power the last 25 years are really only ever just slightly one side of central. same thing different colours.
Left and Right are outdated terms really. Just slurs that people throw at each other these days it seems. A bit like the word 'Liberal' has been weaponised by the Americans. You can have Left wing views without being 'Woke' and you can have Right wing views without being a Racist. I certainly have views on both sides of the 'spectrum' but would hate to be labelled woke OR racist! Too many twats around sticking labels on things. Too many Twats full stop. Beginning to think that Voting should be a privilege not a right....

I like this Voting Concept. Its an old Nevil Shute Novel and also something else I think. Basically like this, or a variation of this.

A tiered voting system allowing citizens to accumulate up to five votes based on specific criteria:

Citizenship: Every citizen starts with one vote.

Land Ownership: Owning a certain amount of land grants an additional vote.

Military Service: Completing a term of military service earns another vote.

Educational or Public Service: Attaining a specified level of education or holding public office.

Legislative Award / National Hero Recognition – The fifth vote is discretionary and can be granted by the legislature for outstanding contributions

This system is designed to reward citizens who contribute to society in various meaningful ways, reflecting values of service, education, and civic responsibility.

In reality the "newcomers" are well organised and this shows in the vote...aka Gorton, London and NewYork
Apathy is a very dangerous thing.

He has already said he will boycott THIS by-election, but expects to run a candidate in the next by-election which he thinks will be soon. No idea how well they will do. He has some utterly unachievable suggestions (death penalty etc) and many other intolerable views, but still prefer him to Nigel, who is just a prick and mainly out for himself. I think Rupert may actually have a less self serving approach to leadership. But its easy to say what you actually think when you are fringe.. The closer power comes, the more you have to moderate your mouth. Unless you are Trump in a 2 party state.
Tell me anyone else who has done anything substantial about breaking the two-cheeks-of-the-same-backside duopoly.

As for Lowe being less self-serving, jury’s out on that one. He’s made a lot of money out of care homes, that selfless industry that most definitely isn’t doing it’s best to separate the old and infirm and their families from their savings.

Wait until he comes under the same pressure Farage is under. At the moment he’s a just useful idiot for the msm and Westminster/Brussells.
