I miss the days when Brigade made quality products that weren't gimmicks... Is that too harsh?
er not if they don't hear it --- I have a photo in my archives that'd support this ... don't think the forum's quite the right place for it thoughI get what you are saying, but I think you misunderstand my first line. No matter how deserving someone is to be removed from the gene pool, the courts don't encourage the process.
That said, safety systems should never be a crutch for a poor operating behaviour - eg. "I don't need to look behind me because I have a reversing alarm - every one will get out of the way when they hear the alarm - right?"
No thanks . Forklift trainers old pic of fork Vs lower leg... 1-0 to hysterer not if they don't hear it --- I have a photo in my archives that'd support this ... don't think the forum's quite the right place for it though
PM for a copy if anyone's 'interested'
Very interesting feedback. I'll make sure we steer clear of them on our next install . Thanks for the heads up.Likewise big companies shouldn't use it as a crutch in that "we fitted an alarm so cannot be held responsible for letting an inexperienced operator hurt someone as they where cheaper"
I still think this kit is a bandaid on am amputated leg, and maybe we should sort out the long list of problems with training and education in the UK construction industry rather than profit from them.
And for what it's worth I have driven a lorry fitted with a brigade system through London and it was as much use as tits on a fish.
