There’s still no substitute for diesel for construction or haulage in this country. Some interesting views about from industry experts....one claims this is at least 6-12 month issue even if the straits opened today!
On the other hand the plethora of electric options and alternatives may actually be in our favour dare I say it....it seems to be hammering the south east Asian countries harder.
Bowser sales must be off the charts I reckon.

There is no actual reason to swap. That is why the government feel the need to penalise us into submission.
If it worked industry would swap unencouraged.
They didn't need to penalise the horse to promote the steam engine. And if it was really about being green then why are we still not investing in public transport. Or reinstating the rail network for cargo
Exactly, as soon as it is more profitable to run electric all the big businesses will swap over. Until that point they are having to bribe and bully people to act against their self interest. There is no actual reason to swap. That is why the government feel the need to penalise us into submission.

There will always be those who want to hang on to ICE for sentimental reasons, but why shouldn't it be their choice?
..and removing the subsidy on house batteries (to fund the short fall)Edit...I found it. They are putting duty on fuel up . Slow clap
especially when the recovery truck is a monster diesel guzzlerThere's actually quite a few trucks locally run on hydrogen, there's a couple sites with the plant to produce the hydrogen. They only have a limited range and have to be recovered quite often but it ticks the box for the customer for being seen to be green
