Fuel Prices

I am sat at home looking at 45nr 600 x 600 slabs ready to be laid. How much of there cost is fuel related, extracting the stone in the quarry, crushing, production and transport. I would bet it is a reasonable slice. That on top with the NI changes and is it any wonder that we are seeing material price inflation.

10% on everything at a minimum, when it shakes out
I’ve just splashed out over £10k on cladding as thought it’s not going to get cheaper if I wait till late summer which is when I was going to buy.
Timber and concrete orders next.

Not seen any price rices on plumbing supplies / boilers / oil tanks yet. Seeing more enquiries for heat pumps though :)

The new electric tariff has dropped our day rate by 3.2pence. It has also dropped the overnight rate by 3.2pence. So we are now paying 3.19 pence for the overnight rate. A drop of 50%.
Whilst I am not going to complain…..it does seem that the powers that be haven’t really thought the price cuts out very fairly!!

Yep - we are on a similar tariff with EON Next
Ours is the Next Drive Fixed V13
12am - 6am: 3.99 p/kWh
6am - 12am: 27.80 p/kWh
and like you we noted a price drop when the price cap kicked in.
We charge our PylonTech solar batteries overnight when we know the sun isn't going to shine the next day ☀️

Nope 👎
There are two EV tariffs. To get the best deal you have to not only prove what EV car you have but also tell ‘em yer make and model of charger 🙄
In my case a cheap EV car is on my wish list. Will probably do a Nissan Leaf as my next project car 🥸
But don’t tell SWMBO 🤣

Our tariff is fixed until June. See what happens when it comes to an end.
I am thinking of a cheap Nissan Leaf as daughter starts new school in September. 360 miles a week during school term of I am not working on a site in Cheltenham at that point so I think it will be worth have a cheap alternative!!
