Cheers for advice. I'll be going IW and then getting a central tie down bar fitted and hot dipped to match. Will post pictures once done.
I have got the trailer - but not got around to making the central tie down bar. Will wait till I get a track barrow as I wont need it till then.

Can anyone recomend trailer tyres for tt2515? They are r13 165. I know sarevo are good on the plant trailers, but they don't come in this size...

I want a nice tri axle flatbed trailer to replace my ifor. Yes I know the payload is less but will be nicer to tow the dumper around. Any recommendations- not buying ifor again- too dated. Want internal tie down points, nice ramp holder etc. half tempeted to go for a bateson Tri axle 12ft tipper they do, theyve done a great job of keeping the deck height really not much higher than a standard flatbed and weighs 920kg which I don't think is bad for a Tri axle 12ft tipper tbf.

I have just ordered an IW LM166. I think there are better options certainly, but I already have all the accessories so it makes sense and its a good all rounder. Graham Edwards seem to a fair bit better in value on the used market. If I was only using it for moving a dumper around then a beaver tail with mesh loading ramp surely a million times better than dicking with Ramps IMHO. But if you want to tip... then buy a tipper. The Tri Axle Batesons are a lot of monies though. I liked the Nugents I looked at , until I saw the price. PS - Always easy to sell an Ifor.

That trailer in your post does look nice. You could get about 4000kg of 803 in there with a level load :)

I know ifor hold value well but I'm so bored of them, they've just done nothing to progress their flat beds for the 90s. I actually didn't think that price for the bateson Tri tipper was to bad really. In fairness I wouldn't use the tip alot but kinda handy to have the option- like the idea I could load the Wacker on to it and go to a job and potentially save having to take a dumper out there too- but limited really.
Have considered a beavertail purely for machinery but they're really low at the back which not ideal and also not keen to have much longer than 12ft. 14 max I never need to move anything longer. How much was your LM16, and was it tri?

£4435+ for LM166G3 (Tri) Flush mount lashing points £50 a pair and £130 for strap box (all extra)

I wouldn't want 16ft on Dartmoor lanes unless I needed it. And looking at it.. I think I am just out of touch with prices. £6.6K + for a tri axle tipper not silly really.

That looks a really smart trailer. And if you have a tipper you will always find a use for it. Even if it's just tipping it slightly to make loading easier.

Depending on what the taillight protection is like. You are just aswell to reverse upto something to load and unload a dumper.
They won't quite go on and off without some sort of ramp as the towbar hits the trailer as you drive them off or at least it does on for tippers

Not a bad price. Are those lashing points up to cranking machines down - fairly sure they say 500kg per point which doesn't seem enough to me..

Go Faster with the dumper and have a volunteer in the tow vehicle ready to dump the clutch and pull away at the crucial moment?

Load them the other way round then!

The firm I worked for when I learnt this where complete and utter cowboys. Where most my stories that seem far-fetched come from but will be known to a few on here. They weren't far off of playing games like that. They had a Tri axle gh with no rear ramp as the gas struts had gone and it fell on old boy and hospitalised him so they cut it off. Got used for years without a ramp but it cracked the a frame from the stress of no rear legs. I even picked tarmac up in it and nailed the tarmac sheet down across the back with a bit of roof batten.

Another thing I've noticed is a bateson Tri has the axles much closer together than a Nugent or ifor- I think it's because the later use leafs so need more space between the axles to accommodate them- but must scrub a fair bit of have thought.
