Imo reform seems to just be tories 2.0. Why they let that people like zahari Ratcliffe in i cant understand. Anyway they are that centre to me they almost seem left. Perhaps that says more about my beliefs. Interesting few years coming up.
I feel I can trust Rupert. I’ve followed him for a while. I wouldn’t trust Farage as far as I could throw him.

Hopefully others feel the same way, but the vote being split is indeed a worry. Musk backing him would be huge though.

hes good this fella:

Step forward Britain’s self-appointed High Priestess of Growth, Rachel Reeves the only Chancellor who can talk about “kickstarting the economy” while simultaneously putting it on life support.

So now we’ve got electric cars slowing down, motorists rolling their eyes, and the Government running an advertising campaign that sounds less like policy and more like late-night shopping TV.

“Now is the time to go electric!” Of course it is. Just like “now” was the time to hike employer National Insurance.

Just like “now” was the time to squeeze small businesses.
Just like “now” was the time to make hiring graduates feel like adopting a liability.

Under Reeves, Britain has become a motivational poster that reads:
“Feel the Growth.” (Growth not included.)

The EV push is classic Reeves economics. Car costs more to buy.
Costs more to insure. Depreciates faster.

Public chargers cost 89p per kWh.
But don’t worry somewhere in Whitehall there’s a spreadsheet proving it’s “a significant financial advantage.”

Yes, if you install a £1,200 home charger, switch to a niche tariff at 6p per kWh, only drive downhill with a tailwind, and never leave your postcode you might make it to Sheffield for £5.

Meanwhile the average motorist is staring at potholes big enough to qualify as inland waterways and wondering why the Department for Transport has become QVC for batteries.

Reeves’ version of economic management is: Tax it. Regulate it.
Advertise it. Blame consumers when they don’t comply. Two in ten cars are EVs.

Five in ten are still combustion.
Eight in ten have fuel tanks.
Which tells you something very simple: Consumers still prefer practicality over ministerial enthusiasm.

But instead of asking why uptake is slowing, the Reeves approach is to double down and call it progress.
It’s remarkable really.

She’s managed to create a climate policy that annoys drivers, an economic policy that scares employers, and a growth strategy that produces 0.9% GDP forecasts with the energy of a damp sponge.

And yet every speech still begins with: “Growth is my number one mission.”.If that’s the mission, it appears to be deep undercover.

Rachel Reeves: The only Chancellor who can stall the labour market, squeeze business margins, and try to upsell you a car you don’t want all while insisting she’s saving you money.

Impressive, in a sort of reverse-engineering kind of way.

I've just signed up for Restore Britain and sent an extra £250 donation.

It feels like there is something afoot. Every little bit of snow helps the snowball gather momentum and grow. This really could be a chance to overhaul politics.

Restore Britain’s immigration policy - the lies and smears have already begun, so here’s the truth. Illegal migrants. Gone.
All of them. Without apology. Every man, every woman. They will all be deported. We have released the most comprehensive deportation policy every produced in Britain.
100 pages of detailed steps to remove every single illegal migrant living in our country. It is deportation poetry. This is step one - these miscreants are the priority.
The sex pests will be removed, the hotels will close, the flights will begin. I promise you that. Don’t need to go over it, the British people know my position.
Legal immigration - for the foreseeable future, far more people will leave than enter. Entire visa routes will be closed off from certain countries that are proven to supply us with sex pests, criminals, illegals, Islamists and the rest.
This is vital. It underpins the entire policy. Who would be on that red list?
Albania, Pakistan, Somalia, Eritrea, Afghanistan and plenty more. We will discriminate. We will look at the facts, and then discriminate. Good.
We must understand that legal immigration has done far more damage to Britain than illegal immigration. So large parts of that must, and will, be reversed.
If a foreign national is entirely unable to speak English, then they will be asked to leave.
How can somebody possibly contribute if they cannot communicate? They can’t. They should go home. Thanks, but no thanks. A foreigner claiming benefits and living in social housing. Again, they will be asked to leave. It is simply not our responsibility to care for these people.
I wish them a healthy and happy life, in their own countries.
Watch how that helps to solve our housing crisis overnight… British social housing for British families.
Foreign criminals gone, day one. No need to even discuss that. We will not tolerate extremists who wish to do us harm. Foreign Islamists will be deported. Dual national extremists will have their citizenships stripped, and then deported.
If an individual surrenders his second citizenship in an attempt to fraudulently remain in Britain, we will take the necessary steps to reverse that process and deport them.
There is a recurring theme here, I am sure you have gathered.
ILR will be abolished in its entirety - the Boriswave will be reversed. If a country refuses to accept their deported citizens, we will threaten them. Foreign aid, visas, remittances and more.
Push to work with the Americans and others. A ‘deportation NATO’. Do it once hard enough, and it won’t have to be done again.
A third-party scheme, like Rwanda, is key. It means that if we cannot ascertain where a foreign national is from for whatever reason, they go to Rwanda. I hear it’s lovely at this time of the year.
We will take a small number of ultra high-skilled migrants - on one condition. It benefits the British people.
Rules and fees around spouse visas will be eased for individuals from non-red list countries.
Fraud will be brutally crushed, but hardworking British men and women have every right to bring their foreign spouse to Britain and raise a family.
That will be celebrated and encouraged. Their arrival, and subsequent contribution to Britain, will be a net positive.
In combination with the vast numbers of unproductive migrants being ejected, there will be one winner.
The British people.
How many deportations will all of this result in?
Millions.
If you don’t like that, then Restore Britain is not the party for you. If you agree, then I hope you will consider joining us.

Will never happen. You can't deport people if you don't know where they come from and they know it.
Secondly I am still not convinced that driving a wedge through society, regardless of the reasoning, is the best cause. I don't want to see the situation America is currently in with i.c.e to happen in this country. I definitely don't want it to escalate to 1939 Germany levels.
Thirdly I don't believe any politicians enough to A) think they will do as they say and B) aren't using immigration as a smoke and daggers approach to try and sneak through a load of unpleasant legislation.

Sir Keir Starmer's government has been in post for 19 months, and in that time, they have made 15 major U-turns.

That amounts to an average of one U-turn every five and a half weeks.

Here is a list of the 15 U-turns since 4 July 2024:

  • July 2024 - Change to fiscal rules Labour campaigned on;
  • September 2024 - Decided not to compensate Waspi women, despite campaigning in opposition;
  • October 2024 - Raised employers' national insurance despite election pledge;
  • April 2025 - Change in position on legal definition of a woman after Supreme Court ruling;
  • June 2025 - U-turn on the cut to the winter fuel allowance;
  • June 2025 - U-turn on planned cuts to disability benefits after backbench rebellion;
  • June 2025 - Announced national inquiry into grooming gangs after saying one wasn't needed;
  • November 2025 - Increased income tax, despite election pledge not to;
  • November 2025 - Scrapped the two-child benefit cap, having previously said there was not enough money to;
  • November 2025 - Changed qualifying period for protection from unfair dismissal to six months, despite manifesto pledge of it being from day one;
  • December 2025 - U-turned on most of the changes to inheritance tax for farmers;
  • January 2026 - Announced business rates relief for pubs after budget changes led to huge tax increases;
  • January 2026 - U-turn on plans to make digital ID mandatory;
  • February 2026 - Labour backbenchers forced the government to hand sensitive Mandelson documents to a parliamentary committee;
  • February 2026 - U-turn on plans to delay 30 local elections set for May.

I'm afraid I will have to sit in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp. I would welcome being proven wrong of course but I think it is just a vote grabbing tactic.

My guess is it won’t happen. Whenever a government tries to do something controversial they get hampered by a string of ‘do gooder’ Go fund me financed legal challenges which paralyses the process.

And we have to get Rwanda to agree to this- plus pay them what they ask.

Locking them up here in open air tent prisons until they decide home is better is about as good as I can see this getting.

I think once the welfare state is cut back a lot will self deport anyway. Let's be honest they're coming through safe countries to get here literally the only reason they are risking life crossing the channel is because we are so generous. This will also help to solve legal immigration which is just as big an issue.
