how's it been on the trailer, do you use some old tires to run on or conveyor belting? we had an old 803 plus on steels was cruel on tailer floor

Those wooden boards in the second photo go at the edges of the trailer ramp. yeah it's not the best on the trailer floor but then neither is the alpine with wheel studs.

I’d imagine any Americans buying in France won’t be doing it on a shoestring (unlike a lot of Brits)!…

Yeah - few people i know are advertising to that usa market now, seems to be becoming a thing and as you say its a pretty major operation to move half way round the world so they seem to have their ducks in a row.
Brexit seems to have done for the brits who put everything in a tranny van and bought a ruin, you have to have a job lined etc dont know exactly what but there is criteria to meet now.

We have had a wet 2 or 3 weeks but its still kind of ok, pulled off the last one leaving some landscaping to do next year but that was a low spot with sad ground at the best of times, this one is ok for now,the roofers are in in Jan so they want it doing and accept the collateral damage, they only got the keys Friday.

Gave the stone masons a hand today getting some big lumps in. Will be impressive when its done. The centre part of the main arch coming down in the new year is just over 2t!

Looked at a job on Monday, part of which includes moving a load of bramble piles I created a few months ago.
Haven't sorted out a proper grab for either of my Takeuchis yet- and if I had it wouldn't have paid its way anyway unfortunately (would have made me smile though ). So I did what I said I wouldn't and bought a manual RSL thumb for the 23r, my 3rd one.
Ordered and paid for it this morning, picked it up this after- only about 3 miles from my yard
I know from experience even this simple a 'grab' will save me a days work on this job- that's the thumb paid for and a less frustrating time on the job
Hope the weather is as good as it was in September when I was last there.
Last picture is my first machine which had a thumb from day 1, and my old 110/10ft tipper, those 3 were a great combination

Fittem this yesterday eve for him.

I still don’t like the 225 though. Surprisingly stable (tried the tilty on it) but gutless. Wouldn't do much else at full revs whilst tracking in 1st.
