Picked up our new low loader yesterday, made by the same company who built our 47m3 tippers. No air suspensions, no steering axles just plenty of steel 😬 rated for 60 ton, will have one of the 470s on it next week, to put it through its paces. Unusual to have flip toe ramps over here and timber floor, much nicer than the usual death traps on the road here.

fair play, once they'd negotiated all the nadgery bits and pinned her straight on the rear bogies, they made some serious progress for the size of the beast .... escorts were exceptionally well co-ordinated too
assume the screaming motor was the donkey engine running all the hydraulics, up on the front neck -- hell of a lift on that too
Daz/Darren .. @Exmayor 'd like this one

bet the front axle on that trailer'd not be under on a weigh bridge ... that CX gotta be north of 16t ... looks the mutt's though

It's conventional tailswing so I wouldnt think it would be to bad. Should be loaded the other way round I think to get the loading right. Also I seem to remember some of those axles can be 10t loading

and I'd bet that front axle has all of that on it and more ...
may be a '130' but also has the blade ...
be surprised if it's lighter than 16t
Mavis below, was over 18t and classed as a 140, admittedly an LCR (but a short arse) ....
there's a fair carriage on that 130 too ...
would be interesting to know just what it does weigh in at ........ still a nice looking set up though (y)

I'd wager it's totally legit.
We need to get Josh on here. Has some lovely kit.

it certainly does look the mutt's nuts ...
just looks too nose heavy in that pic ...
as Smiffy says, it'd look 'better', t'other way round, but can't see as it'd fit
the bulk of the machine's weight looks to be forward of the trailer's centre axle and on the front one/drawbar
TBH if I was plod/DVSA I would want to put it over a bridge, if I saw it out and about

There's always someone to pick holes in new kit. Says he is road testing it in the post, its on trade plates as well. Doubt that trailer is going to spend all its life with a 13/16t on it, more likely he is doing max weight testing to see what it draws like. Would look perfect with an 8t on it. Tyre scrub would be pretty savage with that Case on it. I have loaded a few 15t Tak's with blades onto 32t wagons its overrated. Much nicer on a low loader. Admittedly that trailer is lower than a rigid bed.

not allowed to carry a load of any description (or passengers) on trade plates and can have them withdrawn for doing so

I agree, cant see him posting up it if it wasn't right.
These lads must have dozens of trucks running all over the UK.
Id say that's 100% right for the road.
